How to Generate Highlights from a Match

Highlights in LIGR Live let you turn key moments from a match recording into shareable video clips, either automatically from tagged Match Facts or manually from the full recording.

Before You Start

Before you can generate Highlights, make sure:

• The match has been played and recorded in LIGR Live

• Match Facts (such as goals, cards, or substitutions) were captured during the match, either via the LiveScore App or manually in the Control Room

• You have the correct permissions to access multimedia (Owner, Admin, User, or Media Viewer role)

Understanding Highlights and Moments

Before generating Highlights, it helps to understand how the pieces fit together:

Moments are short tagged clips within a match recording, usually linked to a Match Fact like a goal or card.

Highlights are individual video clips generated from those Moments.

Compilations are collections of Highlights stitched together into a single video.

Generating Highlights from a Match

Step 1: Open the Match Recording

1. From the main navigation, go to the Matches section.

2. Locate the match you want to generate Highlights from.

3. Open the match and navigate to the Multimedia or Highlights tab.

Step 2: Review Auto-Generated Moments

If Match Facts were captured during the match, LIGR Live will automatically tag Moments on the recording timeline based on those events.

1. Scroll through the timeline to view each tagged Moment.

2. Each Moment will be labelled with the corresponding Match Fact (e.g. goal, yellow card, substitution).

3. Preview a Moment by clicking it to check the clip start and end points.

Step 3: Create a Highlight from a Moment

1. Select the Moment you want to turn into a Highlight.

2. Adjust the in and out points if needed to trim the clip.

3. Confirm the selection to generate the Highlight.

Step 4: Create a Manual Highlight

If you want to create a Highlight from a part of the recording that was not auto-tagged:

1. Scrub through the match recording on the timeline.

2. Mark the start and end points of the clip you want.

3. Save the clip as a new Highlight.

4. Give the Highlight a name so it's easy to find later.

Step 5: Review and Manage Your Highlights

Once generated, your Highlights will appear in the Highlights list for that match. From here you can:

• Preview each Highlight

• Rename or delete Highlights

• Download Highlights as video files

• Add Highlights to a Compilation

Tips

• Capture Match Facts accurately during the match using the LiveScore App — the more events tagged, the more Moments you'll have to work from.

• Trim Moments slightly wider than the exact event to include lead-up and reaction footage.

• Use clear, consistent naming for manual Highlights so they're easier to find when building Compilations.

• Review Highlights soon after the match while context is fresh.

Common Issues

No Moments are showing on the timeline This usually means no Match Facts were captured during the match. You can still create manual Highlights by scrubbing through the recording.

The match recording isn't available Check that the match was streamed through LIGR Live and that recording was enabled. Recordings may take a short time to process after the match ends.

Highlight trim points aren't saving Make sure you confirm the clip after adjusting the in and out points. Refresh the page if the timeline becomes unresponsive.

Can't access the Highlights tab Your user role may not include multimedia access. Speak to your Organisation Owner or Admin to check your permissions.
