How to Download a Match Recording

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Downloading a match recording lets you save the full video of a completed broadcast from LIGR Live to your local device for archiving, editing, or sharing.

Overview

Every match streamed through LIGR Live is automatically captured as a Match Recording and stored in the Multimedia tab. From there, you can review the full recording and download it as a video file.

This guide covers how to locate and download a Match Recording after a match has finished.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure:

• The match has finished streaming and the recording has finished processing

• You have access to the Multimedia tab (Owner, Admin, User, or Media Viewer permissions)

• You know which match the recording belongs to

Step-by-Step: Downloading a Match Recording

1. Open the Multimedia Tab

From the left sidebar, click Multimedia. This opens your content library, which contains Highlights, Compilations, Match Recordings, Images, and Videos.

2. Go to Match Recordings

Inside the Multimedia section, select the Match Recordings category. You'll see a list of all full recordings captured from your live streams.

3. Find the Recording You Want

Use the search or filter options to locate the correct recording. Each entry typically shows:

• The match name (teams involved)

• The competition

• The date of the match

• The duration of the recording

4. Open the Recording

Click on the Match Recording to open its detail view. From here, you can preview the video before downloading.

5. Download the Recording

Tips

• Large recordings can take several minutes to download depending on your connection speed — keep the browser tab open until the download finishes.

• If you only need a specific section of the match rather than the full recording, consider creating a Moment or Highlight instead.

• Use Compilations if you want to stitch together clips from multiple matches before downloading.

Common Issues

Download option not visible: Your user role may not include media download permissions. Check with your Organisation Owner or Admin.

Recording is still processing: Immediately after a match ends, the recording needs time to finalise before it becomes available for download. Wait a few minutes and refresh the page.

Recording is missing: If the match was streamed but no recording appears, confirm the stream was sent to LIGR correctly via your Input. Recordings only exist for matches streamed through LIGR.

Download stops partway: Retry the download on a stable connection. Very long matches produce large files that can be interrupted by network drops.
