Match Venues and kick-off times tell LIGR Live where and when a Match is being played, and this information flows through to your broadcast graphics, Match Centre, and Review Page.
Why Venue and Kick-off Time Matter
The Venue and kick-off time you assign to a Match are more than just admin details. They appear in your broadcast overlays (such as pre-match graphics and scorebugs), drive automated Game Plan timing, and display on the public-facing Match Centre.
• Venue — The physical location where the Match is played. Venues are Assets created ahead of time and reused across Matches.
• Kick-off time — The scheduled start time of the Match. This is used for scheduling, stream start timing, and Game Plan triggers.
Prerequisites
Before you can assign a Venue or set a kick-off time, make sure:
• You have created at least one Venue under the Assets tab
• You have created the Competition the Match belongs to
• You have the permission level required to edit Matches (Owner, Admin, User, or Gameday Operator)

Editing the Venue or Kick-off Time on an Existing Match
You can update these details after a Match has been created, as long as the Match has not yet been played.
1. Go to the Matches tab.
2. Find the Match in the list and open it.
3. Navigate to the Match Settings area.
4. Update the Venue dropdown or the Kick-off Time field.
5. Save your changes.
Changes will flow through to any overlays that reference this data, as well as the Match Centre and Production Link.

Adding a New Venue
If the Venue you need isn't in the dropdown, you'll need to create it in Assets first.
1. Go to the Assets tab.
2. Open the Venues section.
3. Click to add a new Venue.
4. Fill in the Venue details and save.
5. Return to your Match and select the new Venue from the dropdown.
Tips
• Create all your Venues in bulk at the start of a season so they are ready to assign when you create Matches.
• Double-check the time zone of your kick-off time, especially if your organisation covers Matches across regions.
• Set your kick-off time accurately — automated Game Plans and pre-match Playlists can rely on this time for triggering graphics.
• If multiple Matches are played at the same Venue on the same day, assign the same Venue Asset to each to keep data consistent.
Common Issues
• Venue dropdown is empty — You haven't created any Venues yet. Go to Assets > Venues and add one before returning to the Match.
• Can't edit the kick-off time — The Match may have already started or been marked complete. Check the Match status.
• Venue name not updating on graphics — Confirm the overlay or Theme Instance is set to pull Venue data from the Match. If you recently changed the Venue, refresh the Control Room.
• Wrong time showing on Match Centre — Verify the time zone setting on the Match and at your Organisation level.
