Setting the Match Venue and Kick-off Time

Assigning a venue and kick-off time to a match in LIGR Live ensures your broadcast graphics display accurate location and scheduling information, and helps operators and scorers know exactly when and where the match is taking place.

Before You Start

Before you can set a venue and kick-off time, make sure you have:

• Created at least one Competition in the Assets tab

• Created the Venue you want to assign (under Assets → Venues)

• Started creating a Match under your chosen Competition

If the venue you need does not exist yet, you will need to add it under the Venues section of the Assets tab before it becomes available to select on a match.

Setting the Match Venue

The venue is the physical location where the match will be played. Once assigned, it can be pulled into overlays such as scorebugs and lower thirds.

1. Open the match you are creating or editing.

2. Locate the Venue field on the match details page.

3. Click the Venue dropdown to view all venues available in your Organisation.

4. Select the venue where the match will take place.

5. Save your changes.

Adding a New Venue

If the venue you need is not in the list:

1. Go to the Assets tab.

2. Open the Venues section.

3. Create a new venue with the required details.

4. Return to your match and select the newly created venue from the dropdown.

Setting the Kick-off Time

The kick-off time sets the official start time of the match. This is used for scheduling, match listings, and can be displayed within graphics.

1. On the match details page, locate the Kick-off Time field.

2. Select the date of the match.

3. Set the time the match is scheduled to begin.

4. Confirm the time zone is correct for your match location.

5. Save your changes.

Updating Venue or Kick-off Time

You can update the venue and kick-off time at any point before the match goes live:

1. Open the match from your match list.

2. Edit the Venue or Kick-off Time fields as needed.

3. Save your changes.

Changes will flow through to any graphics or public-facing pages that reference this information, such as the Match Centre.

Tips

• Set the kick-off time as early as possible so scorers using the LiveScore App and operators opening the Control Room know when to be ready.

• Keep venue names consistent across your Organisation to avoid duplicates in the dropdown.

• Double-check the time zone when setting kick-off, especially if your team operates across multiple regions.

• If a venue's details change (for example, a name update), edit it once in the Assets tab and the update will apply everywhere it is used.

Common Issues

The venue I want is not in the dropdown. The venue has not been created yet. Go to Assets → Venues and add it, then return to the match.

The kick-off time is showing in the wrong time zone. Check the time zone setting on the match and confirm it matches the venue's local time.

I updated the venue but graphics still show the old one. Refresh the Control Room or reload the graphics output. If the match is already live, some cached graphics may need to be re-triggered to pick up the change.

I cannot edit the kick-off time. You may not have the required permissions. Owners, Admins, and Gameday Operators can typically edit match details — check with your Organisation Owner or Admin if the fields are locked.
