Scheduling Matches in Advance

Scheduling matches in advance lets you create upcoming fixtures in LIGR Live ahead of time, so your competitions, teams, and graphics are ready to go before match day.

Why Schedule Matches Ahead of Time

Pre-scheduling matches gives your production team time to prepare, review assignments, and avoid last-minute setup issues. It also means your Control Room, Production Link, and Monitoring Link are ready for operators well before kick-off.

Benefits of scheduling in advance:

• Operators can access the Control Room before the match starts

• Live Scorers can be assigned and briefed ahead of time

• Graphics, Themes, and Game Plans can be tested before going live

• Teams, Players, and Venues are locked in early

• Match links can be shared with stakeholders in advance

Prerequisites

Before you can schedule a match, make sure you have set up the following Assets:

• At least one Competition

• Two Teams (assigned to Clubs)

• Player rosters for each Team (optional but recommended)

• A Venue (optional but recommended)

• A Theme Instance assigned to the Competition

If any of these are missing, create them in the Assets tab first.

1. Go to the Matches section in the main navigation.

2. Click Create Match.

3. Select the Competition the match belongs to.

4. Choose the Home Team and Away Team.

5. Set the Match Date and Kick-off Time to your scheduled slot.

Once saved, the match will appear in your Matches list with its scheduled date and time.

Preparing a Scheduled Match

After the match is created, there are several things you can do before match day.

Assign Operators and Scorers

• Share the Production Link with your Gameday Operator

• Share the LiveScore App access with your Live Scorer

• Share the Monitoring Link with anyone who needs to view the graphics output without control access

Review Graphics and Game Plan

• Open the Control Room to confirm overlays, scorebugs, and playlists are loading correctly

• Check that the Automated Game Plan is assigned if you want event-driven graphics

• Confirm sponsor Ad Sets and Sponsor Loops are allocated to the Competition or Teams

Confirm Rosters

• Make sure Player lists for both Teams are up to date

• Add or update Players in the Assets tab if needed

Editing a Scheduled Match

If details change before match day, you can update the match.

1. Open the Matches list.

2. Click the scheduled match you want to edit.

3. Update the date, time, teams, venue, or other details as needed.

4. Save your changes.

Tips

• Schedule matches as soon as fixtures are confirmed to give your team maximum prep time.

• Double-check the Theme Instance assigned to the Competition so every scheduled match inherits the correct look.

• Use the Monitoring Link to preview graphics without affecting the live output.

• Keep Player rosters current so lineup graphics display the right squad on match day.

• If multiple matches are played on the same day, schedule them all in advance and confirm there is no overlap in operator assignments.

Common Issues

The Competition I want is not showing in the dropdown Create the Competition in the Assets tab first, then return to the Create Match form.

Teams are missing from the selection list Make sure the Teams have been assigned to the selected Competition in the Assets tab.

Graphics look wrong when I open the Control Room Check that a Theme Instance has been assigned to the Competition. Without one, the match will not load the correct graphics.

I need to change the match date after sharing the Production Link Update the match details in the Matches list. The Production Link stays the same, so anyone you shared it with will still have access.
