Duplicating a match in LIGR Live lets you quickly create a new match using the settings, teams, and configuration of an existing one, saving time when you run regular fixtures with similar setups.
When to Duplicate a Match
Duplicating is useful when you want to reuse the structure of a previous match without rebuilding it from scratch. Common scenarios include:
• Running a weekly fixture in the same competition with similar team setups
• Creating a rematch between the same two teams
• Setting up multiple matches in a round that share the same venue, theme, or configuration
• Copying a tested match setup to avoid reconfiguring overlays, game plans, or ad allocations
Prerequisites
Before duplicating a match, make sure you have:
• An existing match in your organisation that you want to copy
• The competition the new match will sit under already created
• The teams, venue, and any other required assets available
• Appropriate permissions (Owner, Admin, User, or Gameday Operator)
How to Duplicate a Match
1. Go to the Matches tab from the main navigation.
2. Find the match you want to duplicate in the matches list.
3. Open the match options menu for that match.
4. Select Duplicate.

1. A new match will be created using the original match as a template.
2. Open the duplicated match to review and update its details.
What Gets Copied
When you duplicate a match, the new match typically inherits core configuration from the original, such as:
• Competition assignment
• Home and away teams
• Venue
• Theme instance
• Game plan and automation settings
• Ad set allocations
The new match is created as a fresh fixture, so match events, scores, recordings, highlights, and moments from the original are not carried over.
Updating the Duplicated Match
After duplicating, always review the new match and update anything that needs to change for the new fixture.
1. Open the duplicated match from the Matches tab.
2. Update the match date and time.
3. Confirm the home and away teams are correct, or swap them if needed.
4. Check the venue is correct for the new fixture.
5. Review the team rosters and adjust players if there are changes.
6. Confirm the theme instance, game plan, and ad set allocations are still appropriate.
7. Save your changes.

Tips
• Duplicate a match as soon as your first match setup is finalised and tested. It becomes your reusable template for the rest of the season.
• If you run a recurring round of fixtures, duplicate once and then adjust the teams and venue for each new match.
• Always double-check the match date and time — this is the most commonly missed field after duplication.
• If you use an automated game plan, confirm it is still attached and behaves as expected in the new match.
Common Issues
• Wrong teams appear in the new match: The duplicate carries over the original teams. Edit the match and reassign the home and away teams.
• Match date is in the past: Duplicated matches keep the original date. Update the date and time before going live.
• Players missing from a team: Rosters reflect the current team setup, not a snapshot. Update the team roster in the Assets tab if needed.
• Theme or game plan not behaving as expected: Open the match settings and confirm the correct theme instance and game plan are selected for the new fixture.
