Delegating Ad Allocation lets your Organisation hand control of sponsor Ad Sets over to individual Clubs, so they can manage their own sponsors through the Club Portal while their ads still appear in the competitions they participate in.
Which Advertising System This Applies To
LIGR Live supports two advertising systems that run in parallel:
• Ad Allocation, used by organisations on inbuilt themes. Ad Sets are allocated to Competitions, Clubs, or Teams and rotation is handled by the system.
• Playlist-based ads, used by organisations on Rive themes. Ads are configured directly in Automated Game Plan playlists.
This article covers delegating Ad Allocation, so it applies to organisations using inbuilt themes. If your Competitions use Rive themes, ads are managed through Automated Game Plan playlists rather than through delegated Ad Sets, and this workflow will not apply to your setup.
What Delegated Ad Allocation Does
When you delegate Ad Allocation to a Club, Club Admins can upload, manage, and allocate their own Ad Sets from their Club Portal. Those ads then appear during matches involving that Club's Teams, without the main Organisation needing to manage them directly.
This is useful when:
• Clubs have their own local sponsors separate from the competition sponsors
• You want to reduce the admin workload on your Organisation team
• Clubs need flexibility to rotate sponsors throughout a season
Before You Start
Make sure you have the following in place:
• An Organisation account with Owner or Admin permissions
• Competitions using inbuilt themes (Ad Allocation applies to inbuilt themes only)
• At least one Club created under Assets
• A Club Admin or Club Super Admin user assigned to the Club Portal
• The Club's Teams already allocated to a Competition

How Club Admins Manage Their Ads
Once delegation is enabled, Club Admins sign in to the Club Portal to manage their Ad Sets.
1. The Club Admin logs into the Club Portal.
2. They open the Ads area within the portal.
3. They upload sponsor images and build their own Ad Sets.
4. They allocate the Ad Sets to their Club or specific Teams.
These ads will then play during matches where that Club's Teams are participating.
How Delegated Ads Appear in Matches
Delegated Club ads work alongside Competition-level ads. During a match:
• Competition Ad Sets continue to play as configured at the Organisation level
• Club-delegated Ad Sets play for matches involving that Club's Teams
• Ads can appear as in-graphic sponsors or detached full-screen ads, depending on how they are set up
Tips
• Brief your Club Admins on image dimensions and file formats before they upload Ad Sets, so sponsor graphics display correctly.
• Review delegated Ad Sets periodically to make sure sponsor content meets your Organisation's standards.
• If a Club has multiple Teams in different Competitions, allocations can be scoped to specific Teams rather than the whole Club.
• Use clear Ad Set names so Club Admins can easily tell sponsor groups apart.
Common Issues
Club Admin can't see the Ads section in the Club Portal Check that Ad Allocation has been delegated to that specific Club, and that the user has Club Admin or Club Super Admin permissions.
Delegated ads aren't appearing during a match Confirm that the Club's Team is correctly assigned to the match, that the Competition is using an inbuilt theme, and that the Club Admin has allocated their Ad Set to the Club or Team.
Both Organisation and Club ads are playing and overlapping Review how your Competition Ad Sets and Club Ad Sets are scheduled. Check the trigger settings and Sponsor Loop configuration to avoid duplication.
Changes made by a Club Admin aren't reflected in live matches Ad Set changes may need to be saved and the match refreshed for updates to take effect.
