Section: Ads - Ad Sets Title: Allocating Ad Sets to Teams and Clubs
Allocating Ad Sets to Teams and Clubs in LIGR Live lets you control which sponsor content appears during matches by assigning Ad Sets to specific Competitions, Teams, or Clubs.
Which Advertising System Applies to You
LIGR Live supports two advertising systems that run in parallel:
• Ad Allocation: used by organisations on inbuilt themes. Ad Sets are allocated to Competitions, Clubs, or Teams, and the system handles rotation automatically. This article applies to you.
• Playlist-based ads: used by organisations on Rive themes. Ads are configured directly inside Automated Game Plan playlists rather than through allocation. If your organisation uses Rive themes, refer to the playlist-based ads guide instead.
If you are unsure which system applies, check the theme type assigned to your Competition's overlay in Competition, Settings, Streams and Overlays, Overlay Settings.
What Allocation Does
Allocation is how you connect an Ad Set to the Assets that will use it. Once an Ad Set is allocated, its sponsor images become available for playlists and graphics tied to the matches of that Competition, Team, or Club.
This is useful when:
• A sponsor only applies to one Team or Club, not the whole Competition
• A Club wants to add its own sponsors on top of Competition-wide sponsors
• You want different sponsor content to appear depending on which Teams are playing
Before You Start
Before allocating, make sure you have:
• A completed Ad Set with all seven required image sizes uploaded
• The Competition, Club, or Team you want to allocate to already created in the Assets tab
• The correct permission level (Owner or Admin for organisation-level Ad Sets; Club Admin or Club Super Admin for club-level Ad Sets)

2. Open the Ad Sets tab.
3. Select the Ad Set you want to allocate.
4. Open the Allocation settings for that Ad Set.
5. Choose the level you want to allocate to:

1. Select the specific Competition, Club, or Team from the list.
2. Save your allocation.

Allocating to Multiple Assets
You can allocate a single Ad Set to more than one Competition, Club, or Team. Repeat the selection process for each Asset you want the Ad Set to appear in.
How Allocation Affects Playlists
Once allocated, the Ad Set becomes available to the Automated Game Plan and playlists for the relevant matches. The Ad Set will only play during matches tied to the Competition, Club, or Team it has been allocated to.
• Competition-level allocations appear in every match within that Competition
• Club-level allocations appear whenever a Team from that Club plays
• Team-level allocations appear only when that specific Team is in the match
Club-Delegated Ad Sets
Clubs with access to the Club Portal can manage their own Ad Sets and allocate them to their own Teams. These Club-level Ad Sets sit alongside any Competition-level Ad Sets allocated by the organisation.

Tips
• Keep sponsor naming clear so you can quickly identify which Ad Set belongs to which Competition, Club, or Team.
• Use Competition-level allocation for league-wide sponsors and Team-level allocation for Team-specific deals.
• Review your allocations before each match to confirm the right sponsors will appear.
• If a sponsor applies across several Competitions, allocate the same Ad Set to each one rather than duplicating it.
Common Issues
• Ad Set not appearing in a match: Check that it has been allocated to the correct Competition, Club, or Team, and that all seven image sizes are uploaded.
• Wrong sponsors showing: Review your allocations. A Competition-level Ad Set will apply to every match in that Competition, which may overlap with Team-level Ad Sets.
• Club cannot allocate an Ad Set: Confirm the Club user has Club Admin or Club Super Admin permissions in the Club Portal.
• Ad Set missing from the Automated Game Plan: Allocation must be saved before the Ad Set becomes available to playlists.
• Ad Set not showing despite allocation: Confirm your Competition's overlay is using an inbuilt theme. If it is using a Rive theme, ads are configured through playlists rather than allocation.
