How to Allocate Ad Sets to Clubs

Written by Julian Rodrigues
Updated today

Allocating Ad Sets to Clubs in LIGR Live lets you assign sponsor or advertising images to a specific Club so that their ads appear in graphics for matches involving that Club's Teams.

Which Ad System Applies to You

LIGR Live supports two advertising systems that run in parallel, based on the type of Theme your organisation uses:

• Ad Allocation (covered in this article) applies to organisations using inbuilt themes. Ad Sets are allocated to Competitions, Clubs, or Teams, and the system handles rotation automatically.

• Playlist-based ads apply to organisations using Rive themes. Ads are configured directly within Automated Game Plan playlists rather than allocated through this screen.

If your organisation is on Rive themes, you will manage your sponsor content through playlists in your Game Plan rather than through the steps below. If you are on inbuilt themes, continue with the allocation steps in this article.

Before You Start

Before you allocate an Ad Set to a Club, make sure you have:

• Created the Ad Set you want to allocate

• Added the Club you want to assign ads to under the Assets tab

• Confirmed you have Owner, Admin, or equivalent permissions to manage ads

Why Allocate Ad Sets to Clubs

Allocating at the Club level is useful when:

• A Club has its own sponsors that should appear whenever their Teams play

• You want sponsors to follow the Club across multiple Competitions

• You want to delegate ad management to a Club via the Club Portal

How to Allocate an Ad Set to a Club

1. Open the Ads section from the main navigation.

2. Go to the Allocation tab.

3. Select Clubs as the allocation level.

4. Find the Club you want to allocate ads to in the list.

5. Click to open the Club's allocation settings.

6. Choose the Ad Set you want to assign from the available list.

7. Save your changes.

Confirming the Allocation

Once saved, the Ad Set will be linked to that Club. Any match involving a Team from the Club will pull in the allocated ads according to your Game Plan and ad trigger settings.

Tips

• Keep Club-level Ad Sets focused on sponsors specific to that Club. Use Competition-level allocation for league-wide sponsors.

• If a Club has its own Club Portal, you can delegate Ad Set management so Club Admins upload and manage their own sponsor images.

• Review your Game Plan to confirm how and when allocated ads will trigger during a match.

Common Issues

• Ads not appearing in a match: Check that the Ad Set is still allocated to the Club and that the match includes a Team from that Club.

• Wrong ads showing: A Competition-level or Team-level allocation may be overriding the Club allocation. Review all allocations for conflicts.

• Ad Set not available to select: Make sure the Ad Set has been created and contains valid images before allocating.

• Club Admin cannot manage ads: Confirm that ad delegation has been enabled for the Club in the Club Portal settings.

• Allocation screen does not match your setup: If your organisation uses Rive themes, ads are managed through playlists in your Automated Game Plan rather than through the Allocation tab.
