Removing an Ad Set Allocation in LIGR Live stops a specific Ad Set from being served to a Competition, Team, or Club without deleting the Ad Set itself.
Which Ads System Applies to You
LIGR Live supports two advertising systems that run in parallel:
• Ad Allocation: used by organisations on inbuilt themes. Ad Sets are allocated to Competitions, Clubs, or Teams and rotation is handled by the system. This article applies to you.
• Playlist-based ads: used by organisations on Rive themes. Ads are configured directly in Automated Game Plan playlists, so there is no Allocation to remove. To stop an ad, edit the relevant playlist in your Game Plan instead.
If you are unsure which system your organisation uses, check the theme type assigned to your Competition overlay.
Before You Start
Make sure you know:
• Which Ad Set you want to unallocate
• Where it is currently allocated (Competition, Team, or Club)
• That you have Admin or Owner permissions, as Allocation changes affect live broadcasts
When to Remove an Allocation
You may need to remove an Ad Set Allocation when:
• A sponsorship deal has ended
• An Ad Set was allocated to the wrong Competition, Team, or Club
• You want to replace an existing Ad Set with a new one
• A Club no longer wants delegated ads running on their matches
Removing an Ad Set Allocation
Follow these steps to unallocate an Ad Set from a Competition, Team, or Club.
1. Open the Ads section from the main navigation.
2. Go to the Allocation tab.
3. Locate the Ad Set Allocation you want to remove in the list. You can filter by Competition, Team, or Club to find it faster.
4. Click the Allocation entry to open its details.
5. Select the Remove (or delete/unallocate) option for that Allocation.
6. Confirm the action when prompted.

The Ad Set will stop serving to the affected Competition, Team, or Club immediately after the Allocation is removed.
Verifying the Allocation Has Been Removed
After removing the Allocation:
1. Refresh the Allocation tab to confirm the entry no longer appears.
2. Open the affected Competition, Team, or Club and check its Ad Set assignments.
3. If a match is currently live, confirm in your broadcast output that the Ad Set is no longer appearing.

Tips
• Removing an Allocation does not delete the Ad Set. The Ad Set remains in your organisation and can be reallocated later.
• If you want to swap Ad Sets, remove the existing Allocation first, then create a new Allocation with the replacement Ad Set.
• For Club-delegated ads, coordinate with the Club Admin before removing an Allocation so they know their ads will stop running.
• Review your Game Plan after removing an Allocation to make sure no automated triggers still reference the removed Ad Set.
Common Issues
The Ad Set is still showing in the broadcast The live broadcast may need to be refreshed. Reload the Production Link to pick up the latest Allocation state.
I can't find the Allocation I want to remove Check whether the Ad Set is allocated at the Competition, Team, or Club level. Use the filters in the Allocation tab to narrow the list.
I removed the wrong Allocation You can recreate it by adding a new Allocation for the same Ad Set and target. Existing Ad Set images and settings are preserved.
I don't see a remove option Your user role may not have permission to manage Ad Sets. Only Owners and Admins can change Allocations. Contact your Organisation Owner or Admin.
I'm on a Rive theme and there is no Allocation tab entry for my ads Organisations on Rive themes manage ads through Automated Game Plan playlists rather than Allocations. Edit the relevant playlist in the Competition's Game Plan to remove or replace the ad.
