Deleting an Ad Set permanently removes a sponsor's collection of images from your organisation so they can no longer be used in Sponsor Loops, Allocations, or Automated Game Plan playlists.
Which Ads System Applies to You
LIGR Live supports two advertising systems that run in parallel. Ad Sets are used by both, but how they are delivered depends on the theme type assigned to your organisation:
• For organisations using inbuilt themes: Ad Sets are delivered through Ad Allocation, where Ad Sets are allocated to Competitions, Clubs, or Teams and rotation is handled by the system.
• For organisations using Rive themes: Ad Sets are referenced directly in Automated Game Plan playlists.
Check where your Ad Set is being used before deleting, as the removal steps below apply to both systems.
Before You Delete an Ad Set
Removing an Ad Set affects any competition, team, or club it is currently allocated to, and any playlist that references it. Once deleted, the sponsor's images will no longer appear in your live broadcasts.
Before deleting, check the following:
• The Ad Set is no longer needed for any upcoming matches
• The Ad Set is not part of an active Sponsor Loop
• For Rive themes: the Ad Set is not referenced in any Automated Game Plan playlists
• For inbuilt themes: the Ad Set has been removed from any Allocations (competitions, teams, or clubs)

Removing Allocations First (Inbuilt Themes)
If your organisation uses inbuilt themes and the Ad Set is currently allocated to a competition, team, or club, you should remove those Allocations before deleting.
1. Open the Ad Set.
2. Review the list of current Allocations.
3. Remove the Ad Set from each competition, team, or club it is assigned to.
4. Once all Allocations are cleared, proceed with deletion.
Removing Playlist References First (Rive Themes)
If your organisation uses Rive themes and the Ad Set is referenced in any Automated Game Plan playlists, remove those references before deleting.
1. Open each Game Plan that references the Ad Set.
2. Edit the relevant playlists to remove the Ad Set.
3. Save the Game Plan.
4. Once all references are cleared, proceed with deletion.
Tips
• Consider whether you can simply unallocate the Ad Set (inbuilt themes) or remove it from playlists (Rive themes) rather than deleting it, especially if the sponsor may return in a future season.
• Keep a backup of the original sponsor image files outside of LIGR Live in case you need to recreate the Ad Set later.
• Review your Analytics tab before deleting so you have a record of the Ad Set's performance.
Common Issues
The Ad Set still appears in a match after deletion Refresh the match production session. Graphics that were already loaded may continue to reference the deleted Ad Set until the session is refreshed.
Cannot delete an Ad Set that is in use If the Ad Set is referenced in an active Automated Game Plan playlist (Rive themes) or still assigned through Allocations (inbuilt themes), clear those references first, then try deleting again.
Accidentally deleted the wrong Ad Set Deletion is permanent. You will need to recreate the Ad Set by uploading all required image sizes again and re-applying any Allocations or playlist references.
