Deleting an Ad Template in LIGR Live permanently removes a sponsor or advertising image from your organisation's library so it can no longer be used in Ad Sets or playlist-based ads.
Ad Templates are used across both advertising systems in LIGR Live:
• For organisations using inbuilt themes, Ad Templates are grouped into Ad Sets and allocated to Competitions, Clubs, or Teams through the Ad Allocation system.
• For organisations using Rive themes, Ad Templates are referenced directly in Automated Game Plan playlists.
Deleting a template affects wherever it is currently used, so review its usage before proceeding.
Before You Start
Before deleting an Ad Template, make sure you understand the impact:
• Deleted Ad Templates cannot be recovered.
• Any Ad Set currently using the template will no longer display that ad (inbuilt themes).
• Any playlist referencing the template will no longer play it (Rive themes).
• Allocations tied to the template may be affected.
• Sponsor Loops referencing the template will stop playing it.
If the Ad Template is still in use by active matches, consider removing it from your Ad Sets or playlists first.

Tips
• Review usage first. Check which Ad Sets, Competitions, Teams, Clubs, or Automated Game Plan playlists reference the Ad Template before deleting it.
• Replace instead of delete. If you are updating a sponsor, consider uploading a new Ad Template and swapping it inside the Ad Set or playlist rather than deleting.
• Keep a backup. Download or save a copy of the ad image locally before deletion, in case you need it again later.
• Deletion is permission-based. Standard Users and Gameday Operators may not see the delete option.
Common Issues
The Delete option is greyed out or missing
You may not have the required permissions. Only Owners and Admins can delete Ad Templates. Contact your organisation Owner if you need access.
The Ad Template still appears in an Ad Set or playlist
Refresh the page. If it persists, open the Ad Set (inbuilt themes) or the relevant Automated Game Plan playlist (Rive themes) and manually remove the reference.
Ads are missing from a live match after deletion
For inbuilt themes, the Ad Template was likely still allocated to that match's Competition, Team, or Club through an Ad Set. Upload a replacement Ad Template and re-allocate it. For Rive themes, the template was likely still referenced in an Automated Game Plan playlist. Upload a replacement and update the playlist.
I deleted the wrong Ad Template
Ad Template deletion is permanent. Re-upload the original image file as a new Ad Template and re-add it to the relevant Ad Sets or playlists.
