Assigning Ad Templates to Ad Sets

Assigning Ad Templates to Ad Sets in LIGR Live lets you group sponsor and advertising graphics together so they can be allocated to Competitions, Teams, or Clubs and played during matches.

Which Advertising System Applies to You?

LIGR Live supports two advertising systems that run in parallel. The one you use depends on the type of theme assigned to your organisation:

• Ad Allocation (covered in this article): used by organisations on inbuilt themes. Ad Sets are built from Ad Templates and allocated to Competitions, Clubs, or Teams, with rotation handled by the system.

• Playlist-based ads: used by organisations on Rive themes. Ads are configured directly within Automated Game Plan playlists rather than through Ad Sets.

If your organisation is on Rive themes, you will manage ads through Automated Game Plan playlists instead of the steps below. If your organisation is on inbuilt themes, continue with this article.

What Is an Ad Set?

An Ad Set is a collection of sponsor or advertising images that can be assigned to a Competition, Team, or Club through Allocation. Before an Ad Set can appear during a match, it needs Ad Templates added to it.

Ad Templates vs. Ad Sets

• Ad Template: An individual sponsor or advertising image designed to appear as an overlay during a match.

• Ad Set: A container that groups multiple Ad Templates together for allocation.

Prerequisites

Before assigning Ad Templates to an Ad Set, make sure you have:

• An Organisation account with Admin or Owner permissions

• An organisation using inbuilt themes (Ad Allocation does not apply to Rive themes)

• At least one Ad Template created and available in your Organisation

• An existing Ad Set, or permission to create one

Assigning Ad Templates to an Ad Set

Follow these steps to add Ad Templates to an Ad Set.

1. From the main navigation, open the Ads section.

2. Select the Ad Sets tab.

3. Click on the Ad Set you want to edit, or create a new one using the Create Ad Set button.

4. Inside the Ad Set, locate the Ad Templates area.

Managing Ad Templates Within an Ad Set

Once Ad Templates are assigned, you can:

• Reorder them to control playback sequence in a Sponsor Loop

• Remove Ad Templates that are no longer needed

• Preview individual Ad Templates before a match

• Add more Ad Templates at any time

Reordering Ad Templates

The order of Ad Templates in the Ad Set determines the order they appear during playback. Drag templates up or down in the list to change the sequence.

Removing an Ad Template

To remove an Ad Template from an Ad Set, click the remove icon next to the template. This only removes it from the Ad Set. The Ad Template itself remains in your Organisation and can be reused.

Allocating the Ad Set

After your Ad Set contains the right Ad Templates, it needs to be allocated so it can play during matches.

1. Open the Ad Set you want to allocate.

2. Go to the Allocation area.

3. Assign the Ad Set to a Competition, Team, or Club.

4. Save your allocation.

The Ad Set will now be available for matches under the assigned Competition, Team, or Club.

Tips

• Keep Ad Sets focused. Group templates by sponsor category, match type, or Competition to make allocation easier.

• Use clear, descriptive names for Ad Sets so your team can quickly identify the right set during a production.

• If the same sponsors run across multiple Competitions, you can allocate a single Ad Set to several Competitions rather than duplicating it.

• Review the playback order whenever you add new Ad Templates, especially for Sponsor Loops.

Common Issues

Ad Templates Not Appearing in the List

If an Ad Template isn't showing when you try to add it:

• Confirm the Ad Template has been created in your Organisation

• Check that you have Admin or Owner permissions

• Refresh the page and try again

Ad Set Not Playing During a Match

If your Ad Set isn't appearing during a match:

• Confirm your organisation is on inbuilt themes (Rive themes use playlist-based ads instead)

• Confirm the Ad Set has been allocated to the Competition, Team, or Club linked to the match

• Check that the Ad Set contains at least one Ad Template

• Verify the Game Plan or manual triggers for ads are configured correctly

Wrong Order of Ads During Playback

If the Ad Templates are playing in an unexpected order, open the Ad Set and reorder the templates in the list.
