Ad Sets in LIGR Live let you group and manage all the sponsor images for a single advertiser, so they can be allocated to competitions, teams, or clubs and triggered during matches.
Ad Sets are part of the Ad Allocation system, which is used by organisations on inbuilt themes. If your organisation is on Rive themes, sponsor ads are managed directly inside Automated Game Plan playlists rather than through Ad Sets. Check which theme type is assigned to your competitions to confirm which system applies to you.
What Is an Ad Set?
An Ad Set is a collection of sponsor images for one advertiser. Each Ad Set contains seven differently sized images, covering the various graphic slots where a sponsor can appear during a broadcast. All seven sizes must be uploaded before an Ad Set can be used in a match.
Ad Sets are the foundation for:
• Sponsor Loops that play between graphic events
• In-graphic ads that appear inside overlays such as lower thirds
• Detached ads triggered at specific times or match events
• Allocation to competitions, teams, or clubs

Before You Start
Before creating an Ad Set, make sure you have:
• Confirmed your competitions use inbuilt themes (Ad Sets apply to the Ad Allocation system). If you are on Rive themes, configure sponsor ads inside your Automated Game Plan playlists instead.
• The seven required image sizes prepared for the sponsor
• Correct file dimensions for each slot (as shown in the Ad Set upload form)
• Permission to manage Ads in your Organisation (Owner, Admin, or a role with Ads access)
Creating a New Ad Set
1. Open the Ads section from the main navigation.
2. Select the Ad Sets tab.
3. Click Create Ad Set (or the equivalent new ad set button).
4. Enter a name for the Ad Set. Use the sponsor's name so it is easy to identify later.
5. Upload each of the seven required images into their matching size slots.
6. Save the Ad Set.

Once all seven images are uploaded, the Ad Set becomes available for allocation.
Editing an Existing Ad Set
1. Go to Ads, then Ad Sets.
2. Click the Ad Set you want to update.
3. Replace any image by uploading a new file into the relevant slot.
4. Rename the Ad Set if needed.
5. Save your changes.
Changes will apply to any competition, team, or club the Ad Set is allocated to.
Allocating Ad Sets
After an Ad Set is created, it needs to be allocated so it can appear in matches. Allocation determines which matches the sponsor will show up in.
Ad Sets can be allocated to:
• Competitions: the sponsor appears across all matches in that competition
• Teams: the sponsor appears in matches involving that team
• Clubs: the sponsor appears across matches tied to that club
Clubs can also manage their own Ad Sets and allocations through the Club Portal if this has been delegated to them.

Using Ad Sets in a Match
Ad Sets do not play automatically just by being allocated. They are triggered through:
• Sponsor Loops, for rotating sponsor images between events
• Automated Game Plan playlists, for time-based or event-based ad triggers
• In-graphic ad slots, configured within the Theme Instance for a competition
Refer to your Automated Game Plan to control exactly when and where sponsors appear during a match.
Which Ad System Applies to You?
• If your competitions are assigned inbuilt themes, use Ad Sets and allocate them to competitions, teams, or clubs as described in this article. Rotation between allocated sponsors is handled by the system.
• If your competitions are assigned Rive themes, you will not use Ad Sets. Instead, add sponsor ads directly inside your Automated Game Plan playlists on the competition's overlay.
Both systems are fully supported. The right choice is determined by the theme type assigned to your competition's overlay (Competition, then Settings, then Streams and Overlays, then Overlay Settings).
Tips
• Name Ad Sets clearly using the sponsor name, so they are easy to identify at a glance in allocations and playlists.
• Prepare all seven images at the correct dimensions before you start. Partial uploads cannot be used in broadcasts.
• If a sponsor updates their branding, replace the images inside the existing Ad Set rather than creating a new one. This keeps all existing allocations intact.
• Review your Ad Set allocations before each match day to confirm the right sponsors appear for the right competition or team.
Common Issues
The Ad Set isn't appearing in a match. Check that all seven image sizes have been uploaded, and that the Ad Set is allocated to the competition, team, or club involved in the match. Also confirm the competition is using an inbuilt theme, and that your Automated Game Plan or Sponsor Loop is configured to play it.
An image looks stretched or cropped on the broadcast. The uploaded file likely doesn't match the required dimensions for that slot. Re-export the image at the exact size shown in the Ad Set form and re-upload it.
A Club has added an Ad Set I can't see at the Organisation level. Club-managed Ad Sets are scoped to that Club's portal. Review Ads delegation settings if you need visibility or control at the Organisation level.
I can't find Ad Sets for my competition. Your competition may be assigned a Rive theme, which uses playlist-based ads instead. Configure sponsors inside the Automated Game Plan for that competition's overlay.
