How to Create an Ad Set

Ad Sets in LIGR Live let you group a sponsor's images together so they can be displayed as advertising content during your live broadcasts.

What Is an Ad Set?

An Ad Set is a collection of images for a single sponsor, uploaded in the specific sizes required by LIGR Live. Once created, an Ad Set can be allocated to competitions, teams, or clubs so the sponsor content is available to appear during matches.

Ad Sets are part of the Ad Allocation system, which is used by organisations on inbuilt themes. If your organisation is on Rive themes, advertising is configured directly inside Automated Game Plan playlists rather than through Ad Sets. You can tell which system applies to you by checking the Theme Instance assigned to your competition's overlay (Competition > Settings > Streams and Overlays > Overlay Settings): an inbuilt theme uses Ad Allocation, and a Rive theme uses playlist-based ads.

Before you start, have the following ready:

• The sponsor's name

• All required image sizes for the Ad Set (all sizes must be uploaded before the Ad Set can be used)

• Any branding details you want to associate with the sponsor

Creating a New Ad Set

Follow these steps to create an Ad Set in your organisation.

1. Log in to LIGR Live and open the Ads section from the main navigation.

2. Select the Ad Sets tab.

3. Click the option to create a new Ad Set.

4. Enter the sponsor's name to identify the Ad Set.

5. Upload each required image size into its matching slot.

6. Save the Ad Set.

Uploading Sponsor Images

Each Ad Set requires a full set of images in different sizes so the sponsor content can render correctly across different graphic types (such as in-graphic ads, detached ads, and Sponsor Loops).

• Upload one image per size slot

• Use the correct dimensions for each slot

• Make sure every slot is filled. Incomplete Ad Sets cannot be used in a match.

Allocating Your Ad Set

Creating an Ad Set does not automatically make it appear in a broadcast. You need to allocate it to the competitions, teams, or clubs where it should run.

1. Open the Ad Set you just created.

2. Go to the allocation options.

3. Assign the Ad Set to the relevant competition, team, or club.

4. Save your changes.

Once allocated, the Ad Set is available to the Ad Allocation system for any match under that competition, team, or club, and rotation is handled automatically based on where it runs.

Tips

• Name your Ad Sets clearly using the sponsor's name so they are easy to find later.

• Prepare all image sizes in advance. This is the fastest way to complete an Ad Set in one session.

• If a sponsor appears across multiple competitions, create one Ad Set and allocate it to each competition rather than duplicating.

• Use the Analytics tab in the Ads section to monitor how your Ad Sets are performing after matches.

Common Issues

• Ad Set will not save or cannot be used: Check that every image size slot has been filled. Incomplete Ad Sets cannot be activated.

• Sponsor is not appearing during the match: Confirm the Ad Set has been allocated to the correct competition, team, or club, and that the competition is using an inbuilt theme. If your competition is on a Rive theme, sponsor content is configured in the Automated Game Plan playlists rather than through Ad Sets.

• Images appear stretched or cropped: Make sure each image matches the required dimensions for its specific size slot.

• Ad Set is missing from allocation options: Allocation may not have been saved, or the Ad Set may be allocated to a different competition than the one the match belongs to.
