The Media Viewer role gives a user view-only access to recordings, Highlights, and other media in your LIGR Live organisation, without allowing them to change any settings or operate live matches.
What Media Viewer Access Includes
The Media Viewer is one of the standard user permission levels in LIGR Live. It is designed for people who need to watch or review match content but should not be able to modify your assets or production setup.
A Media Viewer can:
• View match recordings
• View Highlights and Compilations
• View Moments tagged within a match recording
• Access the Review Page for completed matches
A Media Viewer cannot:
• Create or edit Competitions, Clubs, Teams, Players, or Venues
• Create or edit Matches
• Access the Control Room
• Use the LiveScore App
• Change billing or organisation settings
• Manage other users
When to Use the Media Viewer Role
Use this role when you want to give someone safe, limited access to your media library. Common examples include:
• Coaches who want to review match footage
• Sponsors who want to see branded content in context
• Club staff who need to watch recordings but not produce matches
• Stakeholders reviewing highlights before sharing
If the person needs to do more than watch content, assign a different role such as Gameday Operator, Live Scorer, User, or Admin.
How to Invite a Media Viewer
You'll need to be an Owner or Admin to manage users in your organisation.
1. Go to the Profile & Account section of LIGR Live.
2. Open the Users tab.
3. Select Invite User (or the equivalent option to add a new team member).
4. Enter the person's email address.
5. In the role field, select Media Viewer.
6. Send the invite.
The invited user will receive an email to join your organisation with Media Viewer permissions.

How to Change an Existing User to Media Viewer
If someone already has access and you want to reduce their permissions:
1. Open Profile & Account.
2. Go to the Users tab.
3. Find the user in the list.
4. Edit their role and select Media Viewer.
5. Save the change.
The user's access will update immediately. Any links they previously used for the Control Room or LiveScore App will no longer work for them.

How to Remove Media Viewer Access
1. Open Profile & Account.
2. Go to the Users tab.
3. Locate the user.
4. Select the option to remove them from your organisation.
Once removed, they will lose access to all media in your organisation.
Tips
• Use Media Viewer as your default for anyone who only needs to watch content — it's the safest role for non-production people.
• If a user needs to view media for one specific club only, consider using a Club Portal role such as Club User instead.
• Review your Users list regularly to make sure only the right people have access.
• Media Viewers still count toward any user limits on your plan, so remove people who no longer need access.
Common Issues
The user can't see a recording. Check that the match has finished and that the recording has been processed. Media Viewers can only see content that has been published in your organisation.
The user is asking for access to the Control Room. Media Viewers cannot access the Control Room. If they need to operate graphics during a match, change their role to Gameday Operator.
The user wants to tag Moments or create Highlights. Media Viewers have view-only access. To create or edit media, assign them a role with editing permissions.
I can't see the Media Viewer option when inviting a user. Only Owners and Admins can manage users. If the role dropdown is missing or limited, check that you have the right permission level.
