Archiving a Player removes them from active team rosters and match selection without permanently deleting their record from your Organisation.
When to Archive a Player
Archiving is useful when a player is no longer part of a Team but you want to keep their historical data intact. Common reasons include:
• A player has left the Club
• A player has retired
• A player is inactive for a season but may return
• You need to tidy up active rosters without losing historical match data
Archived Players will no longer appear in lineup selections for new Matches, but their past Match Facts and appearances remain in records.
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
• Admin or Owner access to your Organisation, or appropriate Club Admin permissions if managing via the Club Portal
• The Player already created under a Club or Team in the Assets tab

Tips
• Archive Players at the end of a season to keep your Team rosters clean before the next Competition begins.
• Archiving is reversible — use it instead of deletion whenever possible to preserve historical match data.
• If a Player is currently assigned to an upcoming Match lineup, remove them from that lineup before archiving to avoid conflicts.
• Club Admins managing rosters through the Club Portal can archive their own Players without needing Organisation-level access.
Common Issues
The Player still appears in a Match lineup Archiving does not remove a Player from Matches they were already selected for. Open the Match and update the lineup manually.
I can't see the Archive option Check your permission level. Only Owners, Admins, and users with Club Admin permissions can archive Players.
The archived Player still shows in graphics If a graphic was already triggered using that Player's data before archiving, the overlay will continue to display the cached data until refreshed or removed via the Control Room.
I archived the wrong Player Filter the Players list by Archived, open the Player, and unarchive them. All their data is preserved.
