Creating a Player in LIGR Live adds an individual to a Team's roster so they can appear in lineups, stats, and graphics during a Match.
Before You Start
Players belong to Teams, so you need the right Assets in place before creating a Player.
Prerequisites:
• An Organisation with at least one Club and Team already created
• Permission to manage Assets (Owner, Admin, or User role)
• Player details ready (name, number, position, and optionally a photo)
Where to Create a Player
Players are managed under the Assets tab in the left sidebar. This is the same area where you manage Competitions, Clubs, Teams, and Venues.

Assigning a Player to a Team
If you did not assign a Team during creation, or you need to move a Player:
1. Open the Player from the Players list.
2. Locate the Team assignment field in the Player profile.
3. Select the correct Club and Team.
4. Save your changes.
The Player will now appear in that Team's roster and can be selected in lineups for any Match involving that Team.
Adding a Player Photo
Player photos are used in FUSE graphics, lineup cards, and player stat overlays.
• Recommended image size is 300×300 pixels to match standard Image Templates.
• Upload the photo in the Player profile under the image field.
• Make sure the photo is clear and cropped consistently across your roster for a professional look on broadcast.

Tips
• Create Players in bulk before your first Match to save time on match day.
• Keep jersey numbers accurate — they often appear on Scorebugs, lineup graphics, and Match Facts in the LiveScore App.
• Use consistent photo styles (same background, crop, and lighting) so your graphics look polished.
• If a Player transfers between Clubs, update their Team assignment rather than creating a duplicate Player.
Common Issues
I can't find my Player in a Match lineup
• Check that the Player is assigned to a Team that is in the Match.
• Confirm the Player was saved successfully in the Players list.
Player photo isn't showing in graphics
• Make sure the image was uploaded to the Player profile.
• Confirm the Theme Instance for the Competition has player image templates configured.
• Verify your Rive file has exposed image slots if using FUSE graphics.
Duplicate Players in the list
• Search the Players list before creating a new one to avoid duplicates.
• Delete or merge duplicates to keep rosters clean.
