Managing Team Rosters

Managing a Team roster in LIGR Live lets you control which Players are linked to a Team so they appear correctly in match lineups, stats, and graphics during a broadcast.

What a Team Roster Is

A Team roster is the list of Players assigned to a specific Team within a Club. Rosters are used to:

• Populate lineup graphics in the Control Room

• Provide player data for Match Facts logged in the LiveScore App

• Drive player-based graphics built in FUSE

• Track player participation across matches in a Competition

Players are Assets that belong to a Club, and are then assigned to one or more Teams within that Club.

Prerequisites

Before managing a Team roster, make sure you have:

• A Club created in your Organisation

• At least one Team created under that Club

• Player Assets created (or ready to be created) under the Club

• Admin or Owner permissions, or the appropriate Club Admin role if working in the Club Portal

Accessing a Team Roster

1. From the main navigation, open the Assets section.

2. Select Clubs and choose the Club that owns the Team.

3. Open the Team you want to manage.

4. Navigate to the Players or Roster tab on the Team page.

Adding Players to a Team

Adding Existing Players

If the Players already exist under the Club, you can assign them directly to the Team.

1. On the Team's roster tab, select Add Player.

2. Search for the Player by name.

3. Choose the Player from the list.

4. Enter Team-specific details such as squad number and position.

5. Save the assignment.

Creating New Players

If a Player does not yet exist, create them under the Club first.

1. Open the Club and go to the Players section.

2. Select Create Player.

3. Fill in the Player details (name, date of birth, photo, nationality, and any other available fields).

4. Save the Player.

5. Return to the Team roster and add the new Player using the steps above.

Editing Player Details on a Roster

Player details can be split between Club-level information (which stays with the Player Asset) and Team-level information (which applies only within that Team).

Club-level fields: name, photo, date of birth, nationality

Team-level fields: squad number, position, captain status

To edit:

1. Open the Team roster.

2. Select the Player you want to update.

3. Adjust the relevant fields.

4. Save your changes.

Changes to Club-level fields will apply across every Team that Player is assigned to.

Removing Players from a Team

1. Open the Team roster.

2. Locate the Player you want to remove.

3. Select the remove option next to their entry.

4. Confirm the removal.

Removing a Player from a Team does not delete them from the Club. They remain available to be added to other Teams or re-added later.

Using Rosters in Matches

When you create a Match and assign two Teams, their current rosters become available for:

• Lineup selection in the Control Room

• Player tagging in Match Facts via the LiveScore App

• Player-based graphics and Playlists in an Automated Game Plan

Make sure rosters are up to date before the Match starts so the correct Players appear in graphics.

Tips

• Keep squad numbers accurate, as they are commonly displayed in Scorebugs and lineup graphics.

• Upload high-quality player photos at the Club level so they look clean in full-screen graphics.

• Review rosters before each Match, especially during transfer windows or when squads change week to week.

• Mark a captain on the roster if your Theme Instance includes a captain indicator in its graphics.

Common Issues

A Player is missing from the lineup in the Control Room Check that the Player is assigned to the Team's roster, not just created under the Club.

A Player appears with the wrong number or position Squad number and position are Team-level fields. Edit the Player from within the Team roster, not the Club Player profile.

Player photo is not showing in graphics Confirm a photo has been uploaded to the Player Asset at the Club level, and that the graphic in your Theme Instance supports player images.

Changes to a Player's name are not reflected for one Team Name is a Club-level field and updates across all Teams. If it has not updated, refresh the Match or Control Room view.
