How to Delete a Venue

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Deleting a Venue removes a physical location from your Assets so it can no longer be selected when creating or editing a Match.

Before You Start

Before deleting a Venue, check the following:

• The Venue is not assigned to any upcoming Matches

• You have the correct permissions (Owner, Admin, or User roles can manage Assets)

• You have confirmed the Venue is no longer needed, as deletion cannot be undone

Accessing Your Venues

1. Log in to LIGR Live.

2. Click the Assets tab in the left sidebar.

3. Select the Venues section.

You'll see a list of all Venues currently set up in your Organisation.

Deleting a Venue

1. Locate the Venue you want to remove from the Venues list.

2. Click the Venue to open its details, or use the options menu next to it.

3. Select the Delete option.

4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Once confirmed, the Venue will be removed from your Assets and will no longer appear as an option during Match creation.

Tips

• If you think you may need the Venue again in the future, consider leaving it in place rather than deleting it.

• Review your Venues list periodically to keep your Assets clean and easy to navigate.

• If multiple Venues have similar names, double-check you're deleting the correct one before confirming.

Common Issues

The Delete option is greyed out or unavailable

This usually means the Venue is still linked to a Match. Reassign the Match to a different Venue before trying again.

I deleted the wrong Venue

Deleted Venues cannot be recovered. You'll need to recreate the Venue manually in the Venues section.

I don't see a Delete option at all

Your user role may not have permission to manage Assets. Contact your Organisation Owner or Admin to request access.
