How to Edit Venue Details

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Editing a Venue in LIGR Live lets you keep location information accurate so it appears correctly in your match data and broadcast graphics.

Overview

Venues are one of the core Assets in LIGR Live. They represent the physical locations where matches are played, and once created they can be assigned to matches across any Competition. If a Venue's name, location, or other details change, you can update them directly from the Assets tab rather than creating a new Venue.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

• An existing Venue already created under the Assets tab

• Permission to edit Assets in your Organisation (Owner, Admin, or User role)

What You Can Update

Within a Venue, you can typically update:

• Venue name

• Location or address details

• Any other identifying information stored against the Venue

Tips

• Update Venue details before a match goes live so the correct information flows into your broadcast graphics.

• Use clear, consistent naming for Venues (for example, include the suburb or city) to make them easy to find when assigning to matches.

• If multiple teams share a home ground, you only need one Venue record — reuse it across matches rather than duplicating.

Common Issues

Changes aren't showing in a match: If you edit a Venue after a match has been created, you may need to reopen the match settings to confirm the updated details are applied.

Can't find the edit option: Check your user role. Standard Users, Gameday Operators, and Live Scorers may have restricted access to editing Assets.

Venue is in use: If a Venue is assigned to active or upcoming matches, take care when renaming it, as the updated name will appear in all linked matches and graphics.
