Venues in LIGR Live represent the physical locations where matches are played, and they can be assigned to matches so location details appear in your broadcast graphics.
What Venues Are Used For
Venues are one of the core Asset types in LIGR Live, alongside Competitions, Clubs, Teams, and Players. Once created, a Venue can be selected during match creation so that location information is available to your graphics and match data.
Venues are typically used to:
• Identify the physical location of a match
• Provide location context for overlays and graphics
• Associate a home ground with a Club
Accessing Venues
You'll find Venues inside the Assets tab in the left sidebar.
1. Click the Assets tab in the left sidebar.
2. Select the Venues section.
3. You'll see a list of all Venues that have been created in your Organisation.

Creating a New Venue
Before you create your first match, it's useful to have at least one Venue set up so you can assign it during match creation.
1. Go to Assets → Venues.
2. Click the Create Venue button.
3. Fill in the Venue details in the form.
4. Save the Venue.
Once saved, the Venue will appear in your Venues list and be available to select when creating matches.

Editing or Updating a Venue
You can update Venue details at any time if information changes.
1. Open Assets → Venues.
2. Click the Venue you want to edit from the list.
3. Update the fields as needed.
4. Save your changes.
Changes apply to the Venue record itself. Matches that already reference this Venue will reflect the updated details.
Assigning a Venue to a Match
Venues are selected during the match creation workflow.
1. Go to the Matches tab and start creating a new match.
2. When prompted for match details, select the Venue from the Venue dropdown.
3. Continue through the rest of the match setup.
If the Venue you need doesn't exist yet, create it in Assets first, then return to match creation.
Tips
• Set up all your regular Venues in advance so match creation is faster later on.
• Use clear, consistent naming for Venues so operators can identify them quickly in dropdowns.
• If a Club has a regular home ground, keep the Venue name aligned with how it should appear on your broadcast graphics.
Common Issues
• Venue not appearing in match creation: Make sure the Venue has been saved in Assets → Venues. Refresh the match creation page if needed.
• Wrong Venue details on a graphic: Check the Venue record in Assets and confirm the details are correct. Updates to the Venue will flow through to matches that use it.
• Can't create a Venue: Confirm your user role has permission to manage Assets. Owner, Admin, and User roles typically have this access; Live Scorer and Media Viewer roles do not.
