Assigning a Venue to a Club

Assigning a Venue to a Club in LIGR Live links a physical location to a Club so that matches involving its Teams can reference the correct home ground.

Before You Start

Make sure the following are in place before assigning a Venue:

• The Club has already been created in your Organisation

• The Venue you want to assign has been created as an Asset

• You have Admin, Owner, or equivalent permissions to edit Club details

If either the Club or Venue does not exist yet, create them from the Assets section first.

How to Assign a Venue to a Club

Follow these steps to link a Venue to an existing Club.

1. From the main navigation, go to Assets and select Clubs.

2. Find the Club you want to update and click it to open its details page.

3. Locate the Venue field in the Club settings.

4. Click the Venue selector and choose the Venue you want to assign from the list.

5. Save your changes.

Assigning Multiple Venues

Some Clubs play across more than one location. If your Club has multiple Venues available, select each one you need from the Venue field. The assigned Venues will then be available when creating Matches for Teams belonging to this Club.

What Happens After You Assign a Venue

Once a Venue is assigned to a Club:

• The Venue becomes the default location option when creating a Match involving the Club's Teams

• Venue data can be used in Graphics and Overlays that reference location information

• The Venue appears in Club-related public-facing pages such as the Match Centre

Tips

• Keep Venue names consistent and specific (for example, include the suburb or field number) so operators can pick the right one quickly when creating a Match.

• If a Club moves to a new home ground, update the Venue assignment before creating new Matches so fixtures reflect the correct location.

• Venues can be reused across multiple Clubs — you do not need to create a duplicate Venue for each Club that plays there.

Common Issues

The Venue I want is not in the list The Venue has not been created yet. Go to Assets > Venues and add it before returning to the Club settings.

I cannot edit the Club's Venue field Your user role may not have permission to edit Club assets. Check with your Organisation Owner or Admin.

The Venue is not appearing when I create a Match Confirm the Venue is saved on the Club record, then refresh the Match creation page. Match creation pulls Venue data from the assigned Club.
