How to Create a Club

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Creating a Club in LIGR Live lets you group Teams under a single organisation with shared branding, colours, and a home Venue, so they can be used consistently across Matches and Competitions.

What Is a Club in LIGR Live?

A Club is an Asset that represents a sports club within your Organisation. A Club can contain multiple Teams and holds shared information such as:

• Club name and short name

• Club logo

• Primary and secondary colours

• Home Venue

Once a Club is created, you can add Teams to it and assign those Teams to Competitions and Matches.

Before You Start

Before creating a Club, make sure you have:

• Owner, Admin, or User permissions in your Organisation

• Your Club logo ready as an image file

• Your Club's primary and secondary colours (hex codes if possible)

• A Venue created, if you want to assign a home Venue (optional)

1. Log in to LIGR Live.

2. From the main navigation, go to the Assets area.

3. Select Clubs.

Step 2: Start a New Club

1. Click the Create Club button.

2. A form will open where you can enter the Club's details.

Step 3: Enter Club Details

Fill in the Club information:

1. Enter the Club name.

2. Add a short name or abbreviation if required.

3. Upload the Club logo.

4. Set the primary colour and secondary colour.

5. Assign a home Venue if one has been created.

Step 4: Save the Club

1. Review the details you have entered.

2. Click Save (or Create) to add the Club to your Organisation.

The new Club will now appear in the Clubs list within the Assets section.

Adding Teams to Your Club

After creating a Club, you can add Teams to it:

1. Open the Club from the Clubs list.

2. Go to the Teams tab within the Club.

3. Create a new Team or link an existing Team to the Club.

Teams inherit the Club's branding by default but can be customised individually if needed.

Tips

• Use high-resolution logos (PNG with a transparent background) so they render cleanly in Scorebugs and other Graphics.

• Set accurate primary and secondary colours, as these can be used by Themes to colour Graphics automatically.

• Create your Venues before creating Clubs so you can assign the home Venue in one step.

• Keep Club names consistent with how they should appear on-screen in Overlays.

Common Issues

The Club logo looks blurry in Graphics Replace the logo with a higher-resolution image. Square logos with transparent backgrounds usually work best.

Club colours are not showing in Overlays Check that your Theme Instance is configured to pull colours from the Club or Team. Some Themes use fixed colours instead of dynamic ones.

I can't see the Create Club button Your user role may not have permission to create Assets. Contact your Organisation Owner or Admin to adjust your access.

The home Venue dropdown is empty You need to create at least one Venue in the Assets section before it will appear as an option.
