Archiving a Competition in LIGR Live removes it from your active Assets list while preserving its historical data, matches, and associated content for future reference.
Why Archive a Competition
Archiving is useful when a Competition has finished and you no longer need it appearing alongside your active Competitions. Instead of deleting the Competition and losing all its match history, archiving keeps the data intact but tidies up your workspace.
Common reasons to archive a Competition include:
• The season or tournament has ended
• The Competition is no longer active but you want to keep records of matches played
• You want to declutter your Competitions list to focus on current events
• You need to preserve historical data for reporting or review
Before You Start
Make sure you have the right permissions to modify Assets. Archiving a Competition is typically available to Owners and Admins.
Keep in mind:
• Archived Competitions are hidden from the main Competitions list but are not deleted
• Matches, Teams, and data linked to the Competition remain intact
• You can usually restore or unarchive a Competition later if needed

Viewing Archived Competitions
Archived Competitions are hidden from the default Competitions view. Most lists include a filter or toggle to show archived items when you need to review or restore them.
Tips
• Archive Competitions at the end of each season to keep your active Assets list focused and easy to navigate
• Before archiving, check that all matches within the Competition are complete and any highlights or recordings you need have been saved
• Use clear naming conventions (e.g. including the year or season) so archived Competitions are easy to find later
• Review the Activity page if you need to confirm when a Competition was archived and by whom
Common Issues
I can't find the archive option Archiving may only be available to users with Owner or Admin permissions. Check your user role in the Profile & Account section.
The Competition still appears in my matches list Archiving a Competition does not remove existing matches from match lists. The Competition itself is hidden from the Assets list, but historical matches remain accessible.
I archived the wrong Competition Archived Competitions can typically be restored by toggling the archived filter in the Competitions list and selecting the unarchive option.
Teams assigned to the archived Competition Teams are not archived when you archive a Competition. They remain available in your Assets and can be assigned to other Competitions.
