Setting up card and substitution playlists

Automate yellow, second yellow and red card graphics and substitutions, including the incoming and outgoing players.

Cards

  1. Create a playlist on In Game (Live) and choose a card trigger, for example Red card.

  2. In Configure > Trigger playlists, click Add Trigger to add Second yellow and Yellow card too, so one playlist handles every card.

  3. Add Hide all except scorebug.

  4. Add the scorebug with its show card event variable on, set to Update, for about 8 seconds. This plays the card animation in the scorebug.

  5. Optional: add the cards lower third with its Event variable set to the incoming fact, to show the player's name.

  6. Finish with Hide all except scorebug.

  7. Set Priority to 2 – High, below goals.

Substitutions

  1. Create a playlist with Trigger Type Substitution.

  2. Add Hide all except scorebug.

  3. Add the scorebug with its substitution event variable on (or the subs lower third with Event set to the incoming fact) for about 5–8 seconds.

  4. Finish with Hide all except scorebug.

  5. Add a guard so the playlist only runs when the fact includes players.

Every third card

To show a different graphic on every third yellow card for a team, use a milestone trigger with a higher priority than the normal card playlist. See *Using milestone triggers*.
