Overview

Live gameplay event triggers automatically display graphics when cards, substitutions, and milestone events occur during a match. Event-triggered playlists fire when match events are logged, and a priority system determines which graphic displays first when multiple events occur simultaneously.

You'll use live gameplay event triggers when:

* You want graphics to appear automatically when cards are issued

* You want substitution graphics to display when player changes occur

* You want milestone triggers to fire on repeating patterns (e.g., every 3rd card issued)

* You need to manage which graphics display first when multiple events occur at the same time

Prerequisites

* Access to the LIGR Automation platform

* A game plan with a configured Live gameplay section

* Card and substitution graphics designed in FUSE

* Understanding of event triggers and playlist ordering

How to Set Up Card Event Triggers

1. Open your game plan and navigate to the Live gameplay section.

2. Create event triggers for yellow and red card events.

3. When a card is issued, the system automatically detects the event and fires the associated graphic playlist.

4. You can create separate graphics for yellow, red, and second yellow cards.

How to Configure Substitution Playlists

1. Set up substitution event triggers that display a substitution graphic when a player change occurs.

2. The graphic typically shows the outgoing and incoming player names, numbers, and team.

3. Configure the duration for how long the substitution graphic displays on screen.

How to Set Up Milestone Triggers

1. Milestone triggers fire on repeating patterns — for example, every 3rd card issued, or every 5th substitution.

2. This is useful for triggering summary graphics that show accumulated match events.

3. Configure the milestone interval (e.g., every 3rd occurrence) and assign the summary graphic to display.

How to Configure the Priority System

When multiple events occur simultaneously, the priority system determines which graphic displays first.

1. Set priority levels for each event type to ensure the most important events display before less critical ones.

2. Higher-priority events will interrupt lower-priority ones.

3. This prevents graphics from overlapping during fast-paced match events.

How to Test Event Automation

1. Use the game plan's test or simulation mode to trigger sample events.

2. Verify the automation works correctly and that graphics display as expected.

3. Check that the priority system correctly orders simultaneous events.

4. Test all event combinations before a live broadcast — simultaneous events can reveal priority conflicts.

Tips

* The priority system prevents graphics from overlapping — higher-priority events will interrupt lower-priority ones

* Milestone triggers are useful for showing card summary graphics after every 3rd card

* Keep card and substitution graphic durations to 5-8 seconds to avoid blocking other events

* Substitution graphics should display both outgoing and incoming player for complete information
