Some matches need two outputs: a full-graphics feed for broadcast and a clean, scoreboard-only feed for a data or distribution partner. You set this up with two theme profiles on the same competition, both using the same theme, each with its own game plan. Each overlay then uses one of those profiles, so each feed gets its own graphics.
Before you start
You need Graphics to use themes, overlays and automation, and Streaming to send the feeds out.
The competition needs a theme. A game plan is tied to one theme because it uses that theme's graphics, so both profiles must use the same theme.
1. Create two theme profiles on the competition
Go to Assets > Competitions and open the competition, for example LIGR Demo League.
Add two theme profiles using the same theme.
Name them clearly, for example Media and Radar, choose the skin for each, and save.
2. Point each overlay at the right theme profile
Open the overlay window. On the Matches table, open the match's menu and click Add overlay, or go to the match's Settings > Streams and Overlays > Add New Overlay. To change an overlay you already have, open its row menu and click Configure. The window is titled CREATE OVERLAY or UPDATE OVERLAY.
In Overlay, enter an Overlay Name that makes the feed obvious, such as Main Feed or Partner Feed, and choose the stream under For Stream if one exists.
In Graphics, choose the Theme Profile: Media for the broadcast overlay, Radar for the partner overlay.
In Ads, set the Ad Type. Ads only show with Brands selected and Enable Ads on, so choose No Brands or leave Enable Ads off if the partner feed should carry no adverts.
Click Create or Update.
3. Create a game plan for each
In the Automation tab, create each game plan with a name, the theme and the sport. Assign it to the competition, then to the matching theme profile. See Create an Automated Game Plan.
Full game plan (for example "LIGR Demo League: Media (Full)"): assigned to the Media theme profile, with pre-game, breaks, goals, cards, subs, milestones and ads.
Scoreboard-only game plan (for example "LIGR Demo League: Radar (Scoreboard only)"): assigned to the Radar theme profile. On In Game (Live), set up just the Default playlist with the scorebug and the variables you need, such as show stoppage time. No other playlists.
The Default playlist has no trigger. It keeps the scorebug on during live play whenever no other playlist is running. On Rive themes, a game plan needs a default scorebug for in-play automation to work. See The Default playlist: your scorebug during play.
A game plan can be assigned to as many competitions as you like, so you can reuse both plans across other competitions on the same theme.
4. Run both feeds on match day
On the Matches table, expand the match (for example Harbour City v Ridgeview), open the menu at the far right of an overlay's row and click Open Control Room.
Switch Manual off at the top. The game plan for that theme profile then runs the graphics automatically.
Repeat for the other overlay.
For more on this, see Switch between Manual and Auto in the Control Room.
Test before match day
Use Preview a playlist to play each playlist over the vision and pick the skin for each profile.
Use Review a match against your game plan to load a real match and check what each plan would show.
Good to know: Double-check which theme profile each overlay uses. If the partner overlay is on the Media profile, full-screen graphics will go to the partner's feed.
