Use Multiview to monitor your live streams

Learn how to use Multiview to watch every live stream on one screen, listen in on audio, and sort, search or filter to find the stream you need.

Multiview shows every live stream from your matches on one screen, in a grid of tiles. It's the easiest way to keep an eye on several matches at once on match day. This article explains what each tile shows, how to listen in on audio, and how to find a stream quickly.

Before you start

  • Your organisation needs the Streaming module to create and run streams.

  • Multiview only shows streams that are currently live. If no streams are running, the grid will be empty.

Open Multiview

Click the Streaming tab in the left sidebar. Multiview is the default page, so it opens straight away. You'll see a tile for every active live stream across your account. For example, if Harbour City (HCF) v Ridgeview (RVR) is streaming from LIGR Demo Stadium alongside other LIGR Demo League matches, each one gets its own tile.

What each tile shows

Each tile gives you a quick snapshot of one stream. On every tile you'll find:

  • A live video preview of the stream, so you can see what's going out.

  • The match, shown as the team names, such as HCF v RVR.

  • The stream name, which helps when a match has more than one stream.

  • A live badge, confirming the stream is on air.

  • Status indicators for the stream, the graphic overlay, the input and the destinations. Check these to spot a problem early, such as an input that has dropped out or a destination that isn't receiving the stream.

  • An input toggle. Turn this on to view only the input feed without graphics. This is useful when you want to check the raw camera feed.

Listen in on a stream

Each tile has its own audio controls, so you can listen to one match at a time without the others talking over each other.

  1. Find the tile for the stream you want to hear.

  2. Drag the volume slider up to listen in, or down to lower or mute it.

  3. Pick left or right audio to choose which audio channel you hear. This helps when commentary and crowd sound sit on different channels.

These controls only change what you hear while monitoring. They don't affect the audio your viewers hear on the broadcast.

Find a stream

When lots of matches are live, use the tools at the top of Multiview to get to the right stream quickly.

Sort

Use the Order by dropdown to arrange the tiles. The options are:

  • None (the default)

  • Match

  • Competition

Sorting by competition is handy when you're running streams for more than one league or division.

Search

Type into the search box to find a stream by name or match, for example "Harbour City".

Filter

Use the filters to narrow the grid by sport, competition, club, teams or matches. This lets you focus on one league or one club's games instead of every active stream.

Use the buttons on each tile

Each tile has its own buttons underneath. Use them to take action on that stream without leaving Multiview. To see more detail about a stream, click its tile. The stream opens in a larger view with advanced controls and monitoring for that stream, where you can manage destinations, graphics and audio in more depth.

Tips and common mistakes

  • If a match doesn't appear, check that its stream has actually started. Multiview only lists live streams.

  • If a tile looks empty or frozen, check the input status indicator first. The problem is usually the feed coming in.

  • Keep only one tile's volume up at a time so you can clearly hear the match you're checking.

  • Turn on the input toggle to work out whether an issue is with the camera feed or the graphics.
