Overview
Audio controls in the Multiview and Stream Monitoring pages only affect what you hear during monitoring — they do not affect the broadcast audio your audience receives. If you can't hear audio while monitoring streams, the issue is with your local playback, not the broadcast itself.
Verify Broadcast Audio Is Not Affected
The most important thing to understand: monitoring audio issues do not impact your audience. The audio controls in LIGR Live's monitoring interfaces only control what you hear in the dashboard. Your broadcast audio continues to stream normally to your destinations regardless of what you hear in monitoring.
Check Browser Audio Permissions
Your browser may have blocked audio playback for the LIGR Live site.
1. Check your browser's address bar for any icons indicating blocked content or permissions
2. Look for a speaker icon or site settings icon in the address bar
3. Click the icon and verify that audio/sound is allowed for the site
4. If audio is blocked, change the permission to "Allow"
5. Refresh the page after changing permissions
Check Stream-Specific Volume Controls
In the Multiview, each stream tile has its own volume control slider.
1. Look for the volume slider on the stream tile you're trying to monitor
2. Verify the slider is not set to zero or muted
3. Adjust the slider to increase monitoring volume
Remember: this volume control only affects what you hear in the monitoring interface. It does not affect the broadcast audio.
Test With a Different Browser
If audio still isn't working after checking permissions and volume controls, try accessing LIGR Live in a different browser.
LIGR Live works best with Google Chrome or other Chromium-based browsers. If you're using a different browser, switch to Chrome and test audio monitoring there.
What Monitoring Audio Controls Do NOT Affect
* Broadcast audio sent to destinations (YouTube, Facebook, custom RTMP endpoints)
* Audio levels in the actual stream output
* What your audience hears
* Recording audio in archived match recordings
Monitoring audio controls are purely for your convenience during monitoring. If you can't hear audio but your stream is running and destinations are connected, your audience is still receiving audio normally.
