Overview
Moments are custom highlights you manually capture, either live during a stream by hitting Add Moment, or afterwards by clipping them from the match recording. You control exactly what gets captured by selecting a section of the recording, adjusting the lead and lag time, and naming the moment. Once saved, the moment appears in the Highlights section where you can edit, share, and download it like any other highlight.
Moments are useful for capturing content that didn’t trigger an automatic highlight, near misses, great saves that weren’t logged as events, or crowd reactions.
How to Create a Moment
Follow these steps to create a moment from a match recording.
1. Navigate to Multimedia > Match Recordings.
2. Click on the match recording you want to edit.
3. Click the Moments Editor button in the full-screen view.
4. The timeline is grouped by half (First Half, Half Time, Second Half, Full Time), making it easy to find your way around. Use the zoom function to see the timeline more clearly.
5. Click the play button, or use the timeline with your cursor, to find the moment or match event you want to clip.
6. Pause the preview. The New Moment button only appears once playback is paused.
7. Click the New Moment button.
8. In the panel that opens, enter a Title for the moment.
9. Under Trim, set your Lead and Lag in seconds. The Duration updates automatically as you adjust these values.
10. Add a Tag if you’d like, this is optional.
11. Click Save to create the moment.
The new moment appears in the moments list, and also reflects into the Highlights section of the Multimedia tab, where you can edit, share, and download it like any other highlight.
Finding and Editing a Moment
Once you’ve got a few moments, use the search bar or the half filter tabs (1st Half, Half Time, 2nd Half, Full Time) to find the one you’re after. Each moment in the list shows its start time, duration, and which half it’s in, hit Play to preview it.
Click Edit on any moment to rename it, tag it, adjust the lead and lag, or download it directly. Any changes you make here also reflect into the Highlights section.
Lead and Lag
Lead and lag determine how much of the recording is included before and after the match event:
• Lead: seconds of video before the match event.
• Lag: seconds of video after the match event.
• Default: 15 seconds each.
You can adjust these values in the Lead and Lag fields when creating a moment, or afterwards via Edit.
Tips
Keep these tips in mind when creating moments:
• Use the half filter tabs to quickly navigate a long match recording.
• Create moments for anything that didn’t trigger an automatic highlight, near misses, great saves that weren’t logged as events, crowd reactions.
• Moments are perfect for social media content that isn’t tied to official match events.
