Why venues don't appear in match creation

Venues must be created in Assets > Venues before they can be selected as a club's home venue or assigned during match creation. Create the venue first, then it becomes available for assignment.

Why This Happens

Venues must be created in the Assets > Venues section before they can be selected anywhere else in LIGR Live. Until a venue exists in the Venues section, it will not appear in:


* The home venue dropdown when creating or editing a club


* The venue dropdown when creating a match


This is by design. The Assets > Venues section is the single source of truth for all venue data in your organization.


How to Fix It

1. Click Assets in the left sidebar


2. Click Venues


3. Click Create a Venue (red button, top right)


4. Fill out:


* Venue name


* Graphics display name


* Venue address


5. Click Create Venue


The venue is now available for selection when creating clubs or matches.


Setting a Venue as a Club's Home Venue

Once the venue exists in Assets > Venues:


1. Click Assets > Clubs and Teams


2. Select the club


3. Select the venue from the Home venue dropdown


4. Click Save at the bottom of the screen


Teams under this club will inherit the home venue by default.


Selecting a Venue During Match Creation

Once the venue exists in Assets > Venues:


1. Click Matches


2. Click CREATE MATCH


3. Fill out competition, home team, away team, date, and time


4. Select the venue from the venue dropdown


5. Complete the rest of match creation


Only venues created in Assets > Venues will appear in the dropdown.
