Overview
Teams must be assigned to competitions to appear in match creation. When creating a match, you select a competition first, then choose teams — only teams assigned to that competition will appear in the home/away team dropdowns.
You can assign teams to one or multiple competitions through the team's General tab.
How to Assign a Team to Competitions
1. Click Assets in the left sidebar
2. Select Clubs and Teams
3. Select the team you want to assign
4. Click on the Competitions section in the General tab
5. A dropdown will appear with all available competitions
6. Select one or multiple competitions from the dropdown
7. Click Save at the bottom of the screen
The team is now assigned to the selected competition(s) and will appear in match creation when you select that competition.
Changing Competition Assignments
You can change a team's competition assignment even after matches have been created. Teams can be assigned to a new competition during a match, but that change does not affect the match itself in terms of match settings.
The match will still show that team under the competition it was assigned to before the team's competition assignment was changed and before the match started. If a new match is created with that team, it will appear under the newly assigned competition.
Why Teams Don't Appear in Match Creation
If you've created a team but it doesn't show up in the home/away team dropdown during match creation, the team must be assigned to the competition you selected for the match. Edit the team and add the competition, or create the team with the competition selected from the start.
