What is Match Centre?

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Match Centre is your real-time command centre during live matches. It brings live streams, match events, and highlight management into a single view so you can monitor and react to everything happening across a broadcast.

What Match Centre Does

Match Centre focuses on three things:

• Watching the live stream or streams for a match

• Following the timeline of match events as they are logged

• Managing the highlights generated from those events

It is not a stream health monitoring tool. Detailed stream health indicators such as bitrate, input status, and destination status are available from the Stream Monitoring page rather than inside Match Centre.

How to Open Match Centre

You can open Match Centre from a few places in LIGR Live.

From a match:

1. Open the match you want to monitor.

2. Open the match Actions menu.

3. Select Match Centre.

From a stream:

1. Open the relevant stream.

2. Open the stream Actions menu.

3. Select Match Centre.

For a completed match:

1. Go to the Completed tab in your Matches list.

2. Find the match you want to review.

3. Open its Actions menu and select Match Centre.

What You See in Match Centre

When Match Centre opens, you get a live view that combines stream playback with a running event timeline.

Live Stream Player

• Watch all active streams for the selected match in real time.

• If multiple streams are running for the match, switch between them from the player.

Timeline

The timeline shows all match events as they are logged, in real time. This includes:

• Goals

• Cards

• Substitutions

• Period changes

• All other match events

Use the available filters to narrow the timeline down to specific event types, for example only goals and cards, so you can focus on the events you care about.

Highlights

When highlights are generated from match events, they appear directly in the timeline. From any highlight you can:

• Preview the highlight

• Download the highlight

• Edit the highlight

• Share the highlight

This makes Match Centre the fastest place to work with highlights during or immediately after a match.

When to Use Match Centre

Match Centre is useful when you want to:

• Keep an eye on the live stream and event feed at the same time

• Verify that match events are being logged correctly as play happens

• Pull, edit, and share highlights during a live broadcast

• Review a completed match, its events, and its highlights in one place

Tips

• Keep Match Centre open during a live match alongside your Control Room so you can see both the operator view and the live output.

• Use timeline filters to reduce noise when the event feed gets busy.

• Preview highlights before sharing so you can confirm the clip captured the moment you expected.

Common Issues

Stream not appearing in the player. Confirm the match has an active stream and that the stream has not stopped. For detailed health indicators open the Stream Monitoring page instead.

Events missing from the timeline. Check that events are being logged in the LiveScore App or Control Room. Match Centre reflects what has been logged, so missing logs mean missing events.

Highlight not appearing. Highlights are generated from match events. If an event was logged late or corrected after the fact, the highlight may take a moment to appear.
