Working with Highlights in Match Centre

Written by Julian Rodrigues
Updated today

Match Centre is the fastest place to work with highlights during or immediately after a match. Highlights generated from match events appear directly in the timeline so you can act on them without jumping between screens.

How Highlights Appear

When highlights are generated from match events, they show up in the Match Centre timeline alongside the event they came from. Each highlight is linked to its source event, so a goal highlight sits next to the goal entry in the timeline.

What You Can Do with a Highlight

Click any highlight in the timeline to access four core actions:

• Preview the highlight

• Download the highlight

• Edit the highlight

• Share the highlight

Preview

Play the highlight inline so you can confirm the clip captured the moment you expected before you do anything else with it.

Download

Save the highlight as a file you can use outside LIGR Live, for example to upload somewhere else or keep as a local copy.

Edit

Adjust the highlight if it needs trimming or refining. Use this when the automatically generated clip does not perfectly capture the event.

Share

Share the highlight directly from Match Centre so collaborators, stakeholders, or social channels can see the moment quickly.

Tips

• Preview a highlight before sharing so you can confirm it is the right clip.

• Edit a highlight before downloading if you know you will need it trimmed for social posts.

• Use filters on the timeline to quickly find all highlights of one event type (for example all goals).

Common Issues

A highlight has not appeared yet. Highlights are generated from match events. If the event was logged late or edited after the fact, the highlight may take a moment to appear.

The highlight does not match the moment. Open the highlight and use Edit to adjust the clip so it captures the right part of the play.

The share option is not showing. Confirm you have permissions to share content in your organisation. Owners and Admins typically have full access.
