How to Change Your Password

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Changing your password in LIGR Live keeps your account secure and ensures only you can access your Organisation's assets, matches, and settings.

Overview

Your password protects your LIGR Live account, which may have access to Competitions, Matches, the Control Room, and other sensitive production tools. If you suspect your password has been compromised, or if you simply want to update it on a regular schedule, you can change it at any time from your profile.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• An active LIGR Live account

• Access to your current password (if you are logged in)

• Access to the email address linked to your account (if you have forgotten your password)

Changing Your Password While Logged In

If you are already signed in to LIGR Live, you can update your password from your profile settings.

1. Sign in to LIGR Live.

2. Click your profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.

3. Select Profile from the dropdown menu.

4. Navigate to the Permissions and API section, or the password area of your profile.

5. Locate the Change Password option.

6. Enter your current password.

7. Enter your new password, then confirm it by typing it again.

8. Click Save to apply the change.

Your new password takes effect immediately. You may be asked to sign in again on other devices where you are currently logged in.

Resetting a Forgotten Password

If you cannot remember your current password, you can reset it from the sign-in screen.

1. Go to the LIGR Live sign-in page.

2. Click Forgot Password? below the login fields.

3. Enter the email address associated with your LIGR Live account.

4. Check your inbox for a password reset email from LIGR.

5. Click the reset link in the email.

6. Enter your new password and confirm it.

7. Sign in with your new password.

Password Tips

• Use a password that is at least 8 characters long.

• Mix uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols for stronger security.

• Avoid reusing passwords from other platforms.

• Consider using a password manager to generate and store secure passwords.

• Update your password immediately if you think someone else has accessed your account.

Common Issues

I didn't receive the reset email. Check your spam or junk folder. If it still hasn't arrived, confirm that you are using the correct email address linked to your LIGR Live account.

My new password isn't being accepted. Make sure your new password meets the minimum security requirements and that both password fields match exactly.

I'm being signed out of other sessions. This is expected behaviour after a password change. Simply sign in again using your new password.

I don't have access to my account email anymore. Contact your Organisation's Owner or Admin, or reach out to LIGR support for help recovering access.
