Manually triggering overlays in the Control Room gives you direct control over when each Graphic appears on your stream, rather than relying on an Automated Game Plan to fire them based on match events.
When to Use Manual Triggering
Manual triggering is useful when you want full creative control over your broadcast, or when you're covering a Match that doesn't follow a strict Automated Game Plan. You can trigger Overlays manually at any time during a Match, even if an Automated Game Plan is also running.
Common situations include:
• Running a Match in Manual Mode
• Firing one-off Graphics like lower thirds or sponsor Graphics
• Overriding or supplementing an Automated Game Plan
• Testing Graphics before going live
Prerequisites
Before you can trigger Overlays manually, make sure you have:
• A Match created under a Competition
• A Theme Instance assigned to the Match
• Access to the Control Room via the Production Link
• The appropriate user role (Owner, Admin, User, or Gameday Operator)
Opening the Control Room
1. Go to the Match you want to operate.
2. Click the Production Link to open the Control Room in a new tab.
3. Wait for the Control Room to fully load and connect to your Match.

Triggering an Overlay Manually
Once inside the Control Room, you can fire any available Graphic directly.
1. Locate the Graphics panel in the Control Room.
2. Browse the list of available Graphics for your Match (such as Scorebugs, lower thirds, or lineup cards).
3. Click the Graphic you want to use to select it.
4. If the Graphic has editable fields, review and update the data before going live.
5. Click the trigger button to push the Graphic on-air.
6. To remove the Graphic, click the same button again (or the off/out control) to take it off-air.

Triggering a Playlist Manually
If you want to fire a sequence of Graphics in order, you can trigger a Playlist the same way.
1. Find the Playlist in the Graphics panel.
2. Click it to start the sequence.
3. The Playlist will play through its Graphics in the order defined.
Using Manual Triggering Alongside an Automated Game Plan
You don't have to choose between manual and automated — they can work together.
• The Automated Game Plan will continue firing Graphics based on Match Facts from the LiveScore App.
• You can manually trigger any additional Graphic at any time.
• If you want full manual control with no automation, switch the Match to Manual Mode.
Tips
• Always preview a Graphic's data before firing it on-air, especially for lower thirds with player or staff names.
• Keep the LiveScore App open in parallel if you're mixing manual Overlays with automated ones driven by Match Facts.
• Use the Monitoring Link on a second screen or device to confirm what viewers are seeing.
• If you're new to the Control Room, practice triggering Graphics during a test Match before a live broadcast.
Common Issues
The Graphic doesn't appear on stream Check that your Stream is live and connected, and that the Theme Instance is correctly assigned to the Match.
Graphic data looks wrong or empty Confirm that the related Assets (Teams, Players, Venues) are fully set up and that the Match has the correct Teams assigned.
Can't find the Graphic I need The available Graphics are determined by the Theme Instance applied to the Competition or Match. If a Graphic is missing, check the Theme Instance setup.
Graphic won't take off-air Click the Graphic's trigger button again. If it remains stuck, refresh the Control Room — your Match state will be preserved.
