This guide helps you diagnose and resolve common issues with overlays and graphics when operating a match in the Control Room.
Before You Start
Before troubleshooting, confirm the following:
• The Match has been created under the correct Competition
• A Theme Instance is assigned to the Competition or Match
• Both Teams are assigned to the Match
• You are opening the correct Production Link (not the Monitoring Link, which is view-only)
• Your internet connection is stable

Step 1: Check Whether You're in Manual Mode or Running an Automated Game Plan
Many overlay issues come down to confusion between Manual Mode and Automated Game Plans.
1. Open the Control Room using the Production Link.
2. Look at the Game Plan section to see whether an Automated Game Plan is active.
3. If you expect graphics to trigger automatically but nothing is happening, confirm the Game Plan is set to run automatically and not left in Manual Mode.
4. If you want full control over every Graphic, switch to Manual Mode so no automated triggers compete with your inputs.
Overlays Are Firing Unexpectedly
If Graphics appear without you triggering them, an Automated Game Plan is likely active. Switch to Manual Mode if you want to trigger everything yourself.
Overlays Are Not Firing Automatically
If you expect automation but nothing happens:
• Confirm the Automated Game Plan is enabled for this Match
• Check that the LiveScore App is connected and Match Facts are being recorded
• Confirm the triggering event (e.g. goal, card) is supported by the Game Plan rules
Step 2: Confirm the Theme Instance Is Loading
If overlays appear broken, blank, or styled incorrectly:
1. Open the Match settings and check the assigned Theme Instance.
2. Confirm the Theme Instance matches the Competition's branding.
3. Reload the Control Room to force the Theme to reload.

Step 3: Check Team and Player Data
Overlays pull data from your Assets. If names, logos, or colours are wrong:
• Confirm both Teams are correctly assigned to the Match
• Check Club logos and colours under the Club settings
• Confirm Players are added to each Team's squad
• Reopen the Control Room after making Asset changes
Step 4: Verify the Output Feed
If Graphics look correct inside the Control Room but are missing from your broadcast:
1. Check your Input is connected and sending video to LIGR.
2. Confirm the output is being sent to the correct Destination (YouTube, Facebook, or RTMP endpoint).
3. If using NDI to pull Graphics into vMix or OBS, confirm the NDI source is selected and visible.
4. Use the Multiview to confirm what is actually being sent out.

Step 5: Check the Sponsor Loop and Ad Sets
If sponsor graphics are missing or playing at the wrong time:
• Confirm an Ad Set is allocated to the Competition or Team
• Check the Sponsor Loop is enabled in the Control Room
• Review the Game Plan to confirm ad triggers are configured
Tips
• Keep the Control Room open in a dedicated browser tab to avoid accidental refreshes
• Use the Monitoring Link on a second screen so you can see exactly what viewers see
• If an overlay looks stuck, take it off air first before retriggering
• Switching between Manual Mode and an Automated Game Plan mid-match can cause double-triggers — decide on your mode before kickoff
• Test your Theme Instance and overlays on a practice Match before going live
Common Issues
Overlays show placeholder text or missing names Team or Player data is incomplete. Update the Assets, then reload the Control Room.
Scorebug is not updating The LiveScore App may not be connected, or Match Facts are not being recorded. Confirm the Live Scorer is logged into the correct Match.
Graphics appear in the Control Room but not on the stream Check that your Input is live and the Destination is correctly configured in the Streaming tab.
Wrong Theme or branding is showing The Theme Instance is not assigned correctly. Update it in Match settings and reload.
Automated Graphics fire twice You may have both Manual and Automated triggers running. Choose one mode and stick with it.
NDI source not appearing in vMix or OBS Confirm NDI output is enabled for the Match and that both devices are on the same network.
