The Scorebug is the persistent graphic that displays the live score, match time, and team information during a broadcast, and you can toggle it on or off from the Control Room at any point during a match.
What Is the Scorebug
The Scorebug is one of the core Overlays used during a live Match. It typically stays on screen throughout the Match to give viewers constant visibility of the score and clock, but there are moments when you may need to hide it — for example, during replays, full-screen graphics, or sponsor takeovers.
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
• A Match created under a Competition
• A Theme Instance assigned so the Scorebug has a visual design
• Access to the Control Room for the Match (via the Production Link)
• Gameday Operator, User, Admin, or Owner permissions
Showing the Scorebug
Follow these steps to bring the Scorebug on screen.
1. Open the Control Room using the Production Link for your Match.
2. Locate the Scorebug control in the Overlays panel.
3. Click the Scorebug toggle or Show button to push it live.
4. Confirm the Scorebug is visible on your output or Monitoring Link.

Using an Automated Game Plan
If your Match is running with an Automated Game Plan, the Scorebug will normally appear automatically when the Match starts and follow the rules defined in the Game Plan. You can still override this manually from the Control Room if needed.
Hiding the Scorebug
You can hide the Scorebug whenever you need a clean output.
1. In the Control Room, find the active Scorebug in the Overlays panel.
2. Click the Scorebug toggle again, or select Hide.
3. Check your output to confirm the Scorebug has been removed from screen.

Tips
• Always verify your output using the Monitoring Link before and after toggling the Scorebug, so you can be sure viewers are seeing the correct state.
• If you are running in Manual Mode, remember that the Scorebug will not appear automatically — you must show it yourself at kick-off.
• Hide the Scorebug briefly when triggering full-screen Graphics like lineup cards or lower thirds that would otherwise clash visually.
• If you use a Sponsor Loop or other Playlist, check whether your Game Plan already hides and re-shows the Scorebug at the right moments so you don't need to do it manually.
Common Issues
The Scorebug will not appear on screen
• Confirm a Theme Instance is assigned to the Competition or Match.
• Check that the Match has started and has valid team and score data.
• Make sure the correct Input is connected and your Destination is receiving the stream.
The Scorebug appears but shows incorrect data
• Check Match Facts in the LiveScore App to confirm events have been recorded correctly.
• Verify the Teams assigned to the Match are correct.
The Scorebug will not hide
• Refresh the Control Room page and try again.
• If an Automated Game Plan keeps re-triggering it, review the Game Plan rules or switch to Manual Mode for that segment of the Match.
