How to Trigger Full-Screen Graphics

Written by Julian Rodrigues

Full-screen graphics let you take over the video output with a large visual element such as a lineup card, match stats, sponsor takeover, or team comparison during a live match in LIGR Live.

What Is a Full-Screen Graphic?

A full-screen graphic is a type of Overlay that covers the entire video frame, rather than sitting over the live action like a Scorebug or lower third. You trigger these manually from the Control Room when you want to highlight key information or pause the play-by-play visually.

Common full-screen Graphics include:

• Starting lineups

• Team vs. team comparisons

• Match stats or half-time summaries

• Sponsor takeovers

• Player profile cards

• Post-match results

Prerequisites

Before you can trigger a full-screen Graphic, make sure:

• The Match has been created under a Competition

• A Theme Instance is assigned to the Match, and it includes the full-screen Graphics you want to use

• You have access to the Control Room via the Production Link

• Your user role is Gameday Operator, User, Admin, or Owner

Opening the Control Room

1. Go to the Match you want to operate.

2. Click the Production Link to open the Control Room in a new tab.

3. Confirm that the graphics preview is loading and your Theme Instance has been applied.

Triggering a Full-Screen Graphic

Full-screen Graphics are listed in the Control Room alongside other Overlays available for your Match.

1. In the Control Room, locate the Graphics panel.

2. Find the full-screen Graphic you want to trigger (for example, "Starting Lineups" or "Match Stats").

3. Click the Graphic to preview it and confirm the data is correct.

4. Click Play (or the equivalent trigger button) to push the Graphic live to the output.

5. When you're ready to remove it, click Stop or Hide to take it off air.

Previewing Before Going Live

Most full-screen Graphics pull data from your Competition, Teams, or Players. Always preview before triggering to confirm:

• Player names and numbers are correct

• Team logos and colours are displaying properly

• Stats or scores match the current state of the Match

Using Full-Screen Graphics in an Automated Game Plan

If your Match uses an Automated Game Plan, some full-screen Graphics may already be set to trigger automatically — for example, a lineup card at kick-off or a results Graphic at full-time.

You can still manually trigger additional full-screen Graphics from the Control Room at any time, even when an Automated Game Plan is running.

Using Full-Screen Graphics in Manual Mode

In Manual Mode, every Graphic — including full-screen ones — must be triggered by an operator. This gives you complete control over timing and sequencing.

1. Switch the Match to Manual Mode before kick-off.

2. Use the Control Room to trigger each full-screen Graphic as needed throughout the Match.

Tips

Pair with breaks in play. Full-screen Graphics cover the video, so trigger them during stoppages, half-time, or pre-game — not during live action.

Check your data first. If a Player was substituted or a score changed, make sure the Graphic reflects the latest Match Facts before going live.

Use the Monitoring Link on a second screen or device to confirm the Graphic is showing correctly on the output.

Coordinate with your Sponsor Loop. If a Sponsor Loop is running, triggering a full-screen Graphic will take priority over it.

Common Issues

The Graphic doesn't appear when I click Play Check that your Theme Instance is correctly assigned to the Match and that the Graphic is enabled. Refresh the Control Room if needed.

Player or team data is missing or wrong Confirm that the Teams, Players, and Match lineups have been set up correctly under the relevant Assets. Update the data, then reload the Control Room.

The Graphic is stuck on screen Click Stop or Hide in the Control Room. If it doesn't clear, refresh the Control Room tab — this won't interrupt your Stream.

The full-screen Graphic isn't in my list The Graphic may not be included in the Theme Instance assigned to this Competition. Contact your Admin or check the Theme setup.
