Troubleshooting Missing Match Recordings

This guide helps you locate and resolve issues with Match Recordings that appear to be missing from the Multimedia section after a live broadcast.

Overview

Match Recordings are full recordings of completed streams, automatically captured when a Match is streamed through LIGR Live. If a recording is missing, it usually points to an issue with the stream setup, match status, or processing time rather than the recording being permanently lost.

Before You Start

Check the following before assuming a recording is missing:

• The Match was streamed through a LIGR Input (not streamed externally without passing through LIGR)

• The Match has been ended properly in the Control Room

• Enough time has passed since the Match ended for processing to complete

• You have the correct permission level to view recordings (Owner, Admin, User, or Media Viewer)

Step 1: Confirm the Match Was Streamed Through LIGR

Match Recordings are only generated when video passes through a LIGR Input. If your encoder sent the stream directly to a Destination like YouTube without routing through LIGR, no recording will exist.

1. Go to the Matches tab in the left sidebar

2. Open the Match in question

3. Check the streaming configuration for that Match

4. Confirm an Input was connected and receiving video during the broadcast

Step 2: Check the Match Status

A recording will not finalise until the Match is properly ended.

1. Open the Match from the Matches tab

2. Check whether the Match shows as completed

3. If the Match is still marked as live, end it from the Control Room

Step 3: Allow Time for Processing

After a Match ends, the recording needs time to process before it appears in the Multimedia tab. Processing time depends on the length of the stream.

• Short Matches usually appear within a few minutes

• Longer Matches can take significantly longer to finalise

• Refresh the Multimedia tab after waiting

Step 4: Look in the Correct Multimedia Section

1. Click Multimedia in the left sidebar

2. Open the Match Recordings section (not Highlights or Compilations)

3. Use any available filters or search to locate the Match by name or date

Step 5: Check User Permissions

If other team members can see the recording but you cannot, your user role may not include access.

1. Go to Profile & Account

2. Review your permission level

3. Ask an Owner or Admin to confirm your role includes Multimedia access

Common Issues

Recording shows as processing indefinitely: Contact LIGR support with the Match name and date.

Recording is shorter than the Match: The Input may have dropped during the broadcast. Check the encoder connection history.

No recording at all: The stream likely bypassed LIGR and was sent directly from the encoder to a Destination.

Recording exists but has no audio or video: The Input was connected but not receiving a valid feed. Review encoder settings for next time.

Cannot see recordings other users can see: Your role may be limited. Ask an Admin to review your permissions.

Tips

• Always verify your Input is active and receiving video before starting a Match

• End Matches properly in the Control Room so recordings finalise correctly

• Give longer Matches extra processing time before raising a support request

• Use consistent Match names so recordings are easy to find later in the Multimedia tab

• If a recording is critical, download it as soon as it appears rather than relying on it staying available indefinitely
