Bulk importing players lets you quickly add multiple players to a team roster in LIGR Live without creating each player one by one.
Overview
When you're setting up a new Club or Team in LIGR Live, entering players individually can take a long time — especially for squads with large rosters. Bulk importing allows you to upload a list of players in one action, so your teams are ready to appear in match lineups, lower thirds, and player stats overlays.
This guide covers how to access the bulk import option, prepare your player data, and complete the upload.
Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have:
• An Organisation account with Admin or Owner permissions (or equivalent access to manage Assets)
• A Club and Team already created under the Assets tab
• Your player data ready in the format required by LIGR Live (typically a spreadsheet)
Where to Find Bulk Import
Bulk import is available within the Players section of a Team.
1. In the left sidebar, click the Assets tab.
2. Select Teams (or open a Club, then choose the Team you want to add players to).
3. Open the Team and navigate to the Players tab for that Team.

Steps to Bulk Import Players
1. From the Players section of your Team, look for the bulk import option (usually presented as an "Import" button alongside the option to add a player manually).
2. Download the provided template file. This ensures your column headers match the fields LIGR Live expects.
3. Fill out the template with your player data. Typical fields include:
• First name
• Last name
• Jersey number
• Position
• Date of birth
• Player image URL (optional)
1. Save the file in the required format (usually CSV or spreadsheet).
2. Return to the Players section and upload your completed file.
3. Review the preview to check that each row has been matched correctly to the expected fields.
4. Confirm the import to add the players to the Team roster.

Tips
• Use the template provided. Renaming or rearranging columns can cause the import to fail or map data to the wrong fields.
• Add player image URLs during import. If you include image URLs in your spreadsheet, your players will be ready for use with player variables and image templates in FUSE graphics straight away.
• Check jersey numbers carefully. Duplicate or missing jersey numbers can cause issues when players appear in lineup cards and lower thirds.
• Import per Team. Each bulk import is scoped to one Team, so prepare separate files if you're loading rosters for multiple Teams.
Common Issues
• Import fails or rows are rejected: Usually caused by missing required fields or incorrect column headers. Re-download the template and compare it to your file.
• Players appear but images don't load: Check that the image URL in your spreadsheet is publicly accessible and points directly to an image file.
• Duplicate players created: If a player already exists on the Team, importing them again may create a duplicate. Review the roster before importing.
• Players not showing in match lineups: Confirm the players were imported into the correct Team, and that the Team is assigned to the relevant Competition and Match.
