Pre-game and post-game playlists run automatically before and after the match, displaying team lineups, match previews, sponsor graphics, and post-match summaries. This guide covers configuring pre-game playlists with countdown timers and lineup graphics, post-game playlists with result summaries and player of the match, and managing timing and ordering for professional broadcast presentation.
Prerequisites
Access to the LIGR Automation platform
A game plan with configured Pre-Game and Post-Game sections
Pre-game graphics (lineups, team sheets, countdown) designed in FUSE
Post-game graphics (final score, summary, player of the match) designed in FUSE
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Configure the pre-game playlist
Open the Pre-Game section of your game plan. This playlist runs before the match starts and typically includes team lineups, match preview graphics, sponsor advertisements, and a countdown to kickoff.
Step 2: Add team lineup and preview graphics
Add the team lineup graphic, which automatically pulls lineup data from the match configuration. Include a match preview graphic showing key statistics like head-to-head record, league position, and recent form.
Step 3: Set up pre-game ad rotations
Configure sponsor graphics to rotate during the pre-game period. Set the rotation interval and order. Pre-game is a valuable advertising period as viewers are tuning in early.
Step 4: Configure the post-game playlist
Navigate to the Post-Game section. This playlist triggers automatically when the match ends. Include final score graphic, match summary statistics, player of the match, and post-game sponsor ads.
Step 5: Set timing and transitions
Configure how long each graphic displays and the transition timing. Pre-game graphics typically loop until kickoff, while post-game items play through once. Set appropriate durations for each item.
Step 6: Test the full game flow
Preview the complete game plan from pre-game through to post-game. Verify the pre-game playlist runs and loops correctly, the live section triggers on match start, and the post-game playlist activates when the match ends.
Tips & Best Practices
Pre-game playlists typically loop their content until the match kicks off — configure looping behaviour appropriately.
Post-game playlists play through once — put the most important items (final score, key stats) first.
Pre-game is prime advertising time — viewers are tuning in early with no gameplay to compete for attention.
Include a countdown-to-kickoff graphic in the pre-game playlist to keep viewers engaged.
Post-game playlists can include match highlights data if integrated with your data feed.
Test the transition from pre-game to live gameplay to ensure there's no gap or overlap.
