This guide covers setting up automated live gameplay triggers for cards, substitutions, and milestone events. Learn how to configure event-triggered playlists that automatically display red/yellow card graphics, substitution animations, and milestone triggers. Also covers the priority system that prevents overlapping graphics during fast-paced match events.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the LIGR Automation platform

  • A game plan with a configured Live gameplay section

  • Card and substitution graphics designed in FUSE

  • Understanding of event triggers and playlist ordering

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to the live gameplay section

Open your game plan and go to the Live gameplay section. This section manages all event-driven graphics during active play — everything triggered by match events rather than time-based schedules.

Step 2: Set up card event triggers

Create event triggers for yellow and red card events. When a card is issued, the system automatically detects the event and fires the associated graphic playlist. You can create separate graphics for yellow, red, and second yellow cards.

Step 3: Configure substitution playlists

Set up substitution event triggers that display a substitution graphic when a player change occurs. The graphic typically shows the outgoing and incoming player names, numbers, and team.

Step 4: Set up milestone triggers

Milestone triggers fire on repeating patterns — for example, every 3rd card issued, or every 5th substitution. This is useful for triggering summary graphics that show accumulated match events.

Step 5: Configure the priority system

When multiple events occur simultaneously, the priority system determines which graphic displays first. Set priority levels for each event type to ensure the most important events (goals) display before less critical ones.

Step 6: Test the event automation

Use the game plan's test/simulation mode to trigger sample events and verify the automation works correctly. Check that the priority system correctly orders simultaneous events.

Tips & Best Practices

  • The priority system prevents graphics from overlapping — higher-priority events will interrupt lower-priority ones.

  • Milestone triggers are useful for showing card summary graphics after every 3rd card.

  • Keep card and substitution graphic durations to 5-8 seconds to avoid blocking other events.

  • Test all event combinations before a live broadcast — simultaneous events can reveal priority conflicts.

  • Substitution graphics should display both outgoing and incoming player for complete information.
