Audio and Transitions

Upload music and sound to Audio, and wipes and stingers to Transitions, ready to use in your sequences and edits.

Audio holds music and sound for your edits. Transitions holds the wipes and stingers that play between clips. Both are uploaded the same way, and both are there to make your edits feel finished and on brand.

Before you start

  • Have your files ready on your computer: audio files such as MP3s for music, and short video files for wipes and stingers.

  • Only upload music and sound you have the rights to use, especially if your videos will be shared publicly.

What Audio and Transitions are for

When you build a sequence or edit a video, you'll often want a music bed under the action, a sound sting on a goal, or a branded wipe between two clips. Keeping these in your library means anyone in your organisation can pick them up and reuse them, so every edit has the same look and sound.

  • Audio: music tracks, sound effects and other sound for your edits, such as a matchday theme.

  • Transitions: wipes and stingers, short animated pieces that play between clips to move from one to the next.

Upload audio

  1. Go to Multimedia and click Audio. You'll see a list of the audio already in your library.

  2. Click Upload Audio.

  3. Drag your file into the upload area, or click to browse your computer and select it.

  4. Wait for the file to finish loading in the upload window.

  5. Click Upload.

The file appears in the Audio list, with its name and length, for example Matchday Theme.mp3 at 02:14. It is now ready to pick when you build a sequence or edit a video.

Upload transitions

Transitions are uploaded the same way as audio.

  1. Go to Multimedia and click Transitions.

  2. Click the upload button.

  3. Drag your wipe or stinger in, or click to browse for it.

  4. Click Upload. The transition is added to your list.

Using them in your edits

Once uploaded, audio and transitions show up in their own tabs when you create a sequence, alongside your highlights, images, videos and graphics. Add them to the queue in the order you want them to play, then open the sequence in the Video Editor to fine tune timing and volume.

Tips and common mistakes

  • Name files clearly before you upload. A name like Matchday Theme or Club Wipe Blue is much easier to find later than track01.

  • Keep stingers short. A transition only needs a second or two. Long transitions slow your edit down.

  • Put files in the right place. Music goes in Audio and wipes go in Transitions, so they show in the right tab when you build a sequence.

  • Check the volume. Music that is too loud can drown out commentary. You can balance levels in the Video Editor.
