Everything a playlist shows is an item on its timeline. Items play in order of their start time, and can overlap when you want two things on screen together.
Add an item
Expand the playlist (click the arrow on its card).
Click Add Item to Sequence at the bottom of the timeline.
Choose the item type (below).
Set its start time, duration and any variables, then add it.
Item types
Item | Use it for |
Overlay Graphic | Any graphic from the game plan's theme: match ident, team lists, scoreline, lower thirds, full frames, stats. |
Action | Screen instructions: Hide all, Hide all except scorebug, Show scoreboard. |
Multimedia | Images and videos from your multimedia library, such as a half-time video or a sponsor sting. |
Advertisement | A specific ad image, custom-size image, video ad, or an ad slot handed to a club. |
Ad Template | Adds one of your saved ad templates to the playlist. |
Timing: start time, duration and looping
Start time (offset) is when the item starts, measured from the start of the playlist.
Duration is how long it stays on.
Looping: leave the duration empty (or tick Looping) and the item stays on for as long as the playlist is running. Use this for a pre-game match ident or a background sponsor.
You can also drag items along the timeline to move them, and drag their edges to change the duration. Use the zoom slider above the timeline to see more detail.
Tip: Leave a 1–2 second gap between graphics. Graphics animate in and out, so back-to-back timings can cut an animation short. If you finish with Hide all, start it a second or two after the last graphic's end time.
Graphic variables
Each overlay graphic has its own control variables, set up in FUSE. These change what the graphic shows. For example:
Team list: choose Team 1 (home) or Team 2 (away) and set the title (e.g. "Lineups").
Scoreline: show goals, show score, override the subtitle (e.g. "PRE-GAME").
Event lower third: set Event to the incoming fact, so it shows the player from the goal or card that triggered the playlist.
Match stats: choose how many rows and which stat goes in each row (shots, shots on target, corners and so on).
Click an item on the timeline to open its settings panel and change its variables, timing or position.
Update type: replace or add on top
Each graphic item can either replace what's on screen or be added on top of it (Update). Use Update when you want the scorebug to stay on while a lower third or stat appears. When you save, LIGR may suggest changing an item to Update. Follow the suggestion unless you want the graphics to show one after another.
Save
Click Save playlist when you're done. Items are saved in order of their start time.
Good to know: Refresh the overlay after saving changes to a game plan. Changes don't reach an overlay that's already loaded until it's refreshed.
