Getting Started with Advertising in LIGR Live

The Ads tab in LIGR Live is where you set up, manage, and monitor all sponsor and advertising content that appears during your live broadcasts.

What the Ads Tab Does

The Ads tab gives you everything you need to create and organise your sponsor content. You can upload sponsor images, control where they appear, assign them to clubs, and track performance after the broadcast.

How advertising reaches your broadcast depends on which type of Theme you are using. Inbuilt Themes use an allocation-based system where you assign Ad Sets to Competitions, Clubs, or Teams and they flow into matches automatically via the Sponsor Loop. Rive Themes use a playlist-based system where ad slots are configured in your Automated Game Plan under the Automation tab and can be delegated to clubs through the Club Portal.

Both systems start in the same place — creating your Ad Sets in the Ads tab.

How the Ads Tab Is Organised

Ad Templates — Browse, create, and manage the graphic layouts that control how sponsor content looks and behaves on screen. Templates come in two types — in-graphic ads that appear inside overlays like scorebugs and lower thirds, and detached ads that appear as standalone full-screen graphics. Your available templates depend on the Theme Instance applied to your Competition.

Ad Sets & Brands — Create and manage your sponsor image collections. Each Ad Set contains multiple image sizes for a single sponsor so the content renders correctly across different graphic placements. Ad Sets can be assigned to clubs for easy organisation.

Allocation — If you are using an Inbuilt Theme, this is where you allocate Ad Sets to Competitions, Clubs, or Teams. You can also assign Ad Sets to specific in-game events and configure the Sponsor Loop, which automatically cycles through sponsor graphics between match events.

Analytics — View metrics on how your sponsor content performed during matches, including impressions and on-screen time.

Getting Started

If you are new to advertising in LIGR Live, start with these steps:

  1. Check which Ad Templates are available in your Theme Instance so you know what image sizes to prepare.

  2. Create your first Ad Set by uploading all the required image sizes for a sponsor.

  3. Determine whether your Competition uses an Inbuilt Theme or a Rive Theme — this decides whether you use allocation or playlists to get ads on screen.

  4. For Inbuilt Themes, allocate your Ad Set to the relevant Competition, Club, or Team from the Ads tab. For Rive Themes, head to the Automation tab and add an ad slot to your Automated Game Plan.
