How to Use Match Center During Live Matches

Match Center is your real-time command center during live matches. It displays all active streams for the selected match, shows a chronological timeline of match events as they're logged, and provides immediate access to generated highlights.

You'll use Match Center when you want to monitor live streams, review match events as they happen, and manage highlights in real-time without switching between multiple pages.

Accessing Match Center

From the Matches tab, find your match and expand it by clicking the drop-down arrow.

Click the three-dot Actions menu next to the stream and select "Match Center".

Alternatively, click the three-dot Actions menu for the match itself and select "Match Center".

Match Center can also be accessed for completed matches. Navigate to the Completed tab, find the match, click the action menu, and select "Match Center".

Viewing Live Streams in Match Center

The Match Center displays all active streams for the selected match in the video player section.

If multiple streams are running simultaneously, you can switch between them using the stream selection controls.

The live stream player shows the broadcast output exactly as viewers see it, including all graphics overlays if configured.

Important: Match Center focuses on match events and highlights management. For detailed stream health monitoring such as bitrate indicators, input status, and destination status, use the Stream Monitoring page accessed via "View" from the stream actions menu.

Understanding the Match Events Timeline

The Timeline section displays all match events as they are logged in real-time:

* Goals

* Cards (yellow and red)

* Substitutions

* Period changes (half-time, full-time)

* All other match events configured for your sport

Events appear automatically when logged via the LiveScore app or when received from external data providers.

Each event displays the time it occurred, the team involved, and the event type.

Filtering Match Events

Use the filtering options on the left side of Match Center to display specific event types.

Available filters vary by sport but typically include:

* Matches: Filter by specific match if viewing multiple matches

* Stream type: Filter by streaming configuration

* Event categories: Goals, substitutions, cards, and more

Select one or multiple filters to narrow the timeline view to only the events you want to see.

This is particularly useful during busy matches when you want to quickly review all goals or all cards without scrolling through every event.

Reviewing and Managing Highlights

When highlights are generated from match events, they appear in the timeline next to the corresponding event.

Click the highlight button for any match event to preview it.

The highlight replaces the live stream or match recording in the right-side video player.

From the highlight preview, you can:

* Review the highlight to verify it captured the correct moment

* Tag it for organization (Goal of the Season, Try of the Month, etc.)

* Download it immediately

* Make edits such as adjusting lead and lag times

* Share directly to connected social media accounts

This workflow lets you publish highlights to social media within seconds of the event occurring during live matches.

Combining Multiple Highlights

You can combine multiple events into a single highlight reel directly from Match Center.

Select multiple events using the checkboxes next to each event (for example, select all goals from the match).

Click the "Combine" button.

All selected highlights merge into one video.

The combined video opens directly in the video editor for further editing if needed.

This is useful for creating quick goal compilation videos or highlight reels during halftime or immediately after the match ends.

What Match Center Does Not Display

Match Center is focused on match events, live stream viewing, and highlight management.

It does not display detailed stream health indicators such as:

* Bitrate monitors

* Input connection status

* Destination connection status

* Stream analytics graphs

For technical stream monitoring, use the Stream Monitoring page accessed by clicking "View" from the stream's action menu in the Matches section, or use the Multiview page in the Streaming tab.

Match Center for Completed Matches

Match Center remains accessible after matches are completed.

Navigate to the Completed tab in the Matches section.

Find the match you want to review, click the action menu, and select "Match Center".

For completed matches, the live stream player is replaced by the match recording (if recording was enabled).

You can still review all match events, access highlights, combine highlights, and share content — all the same functionality available during live matches.

Common Uses During Live Matches

Real-time highlight sharing: As soon as a goal is scored and the highlight renders, tag it and share it to social media within seconds.

Event verification: Quickly review the timeline to confirm all events have been logged correctly, especially if multiple events occur in quick succession.

Halftime compilation: During the break, select all first-half goals and combine them into a halftime highlight reel.

Post-match summary: Immediately after the match ends, combine key events into a match summary video for social media.

Event filtering: Filter to show only yellow or red cards to review disciplinary events separately from goals and substitutions.

Tips for Using Match Center Effectively

Keep Match Center open in a separate tab: While monitoring the stream on the Stream Monitoring page, keep Match Center open in another browser tab for quick access to highlights.

Review highlights during breaks: Use halftime or stoppages to review generated highlights and catch any that need editing before sharing.

Use filters to find specific events quickly: When you need to locate a particular event during a busy match, use the event category filters rather than scrolling through the full timeline.

Tag highlights immediately: Apply tags to highlights as soon as they're generated while the context is fresh in your mind. This makes end-of-season compilations much easier.

Combine highlights for social media: Social media algorithms favor slightly longer content over very short clips. Combining 2-3 goals into one video often performs better than posting each goal separately.

Verify highlight generation: If you notice an event was logged but no highlight appeared, check your stream settings to confirm "Generate Highlights" is toggled on.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Match events not appearing in timeline: Verify match events are being logged in the LiveScore app or received from your external data provider. If no events are logged, none will appear in Match Center.

Highlights not generating: Confirm "Generate Highlights" is toggled on in your stream settings. Check that the stream is actually recording. Verify highlight settings are configured for the competition in the Multimedia section.

Can't access Match Center for a match: The match must exist in the system and you must have permission to view it. Check that the match was created and that your user account has access to the organization.

Live stream not displaying in Match Center: Verify the stream is actually started (check the Matches section for stream status). Refresh the Match Center page. If the stream is running but not displaying, try accessing the Stream Monitoring page instead.

Combined highlight didn't include all selected events: Only events that successfully generated highlights will be included in the combined video. If an event didn't generate a highlight due to recording issues, it won't appear in the combination.
