Pre-game playlists run before kick-off. A typical football game plan uses four: a default loop, players entering, about to start, and one or more time-triggered playlists.
1. Pre-game default
Runs from the moment the match exists until the next pre-game trigger takes over.
Create a playlist with Period Group Pregame and Trigger Type Default.
Add the match ident (or intro) graphic and leave the duration empty so it loops.
Save.
2. Players entering
Starts when Players Entering is tapped in the LiveScore app.
Create a playlist: Period Group Pregame, Trigger Type Players entering.
Add Hide all at the start.
Add the match ident for about 8–10 seconds.
Add the scoreline with the subtitle override set to "PRE-GAME".
Add the home team list (Team 1) for about 15 seconds, then the away team list (Team 2).
Finish with Hide all.
3. About to start
Starts when About to Start is tapped in the LiveScore app. A short scoreline is usually enough.
Create a playlist: Period Group Pregame, Trigger Type About to start.
Add Hide all, then the scoreline for about 10 seconds, then Hide all.
Tip: Add extra triggers to reuse this playlist before the second half and extra time (Configure > Trigger playlists > Add Trigger).
4. Time-triggered pre-game playlists
Use time triggers for content that must run at a set time, such as a sponsor 5 minutes out or a league table and fixtures 8 minutes before kick-off.
Create a playlist: Period Group Pregame, Trigger Type Time trigger, and set how long before kick-off it starts.
Add your items, for example match ident, league table, fixtures and team sheets.
In Configure > Show Advanced Options, set it to a higher priority than the button-triggered playlists, so it plays on time even if Players entering or About to start has been pressed.
Good to know: If your match uses an external data feed that doesn't send Players entering or About to start, build your pre-game around the Default and Time trigger playlists instead. Time triggers run off the scheduled kick-off time, so if kick-off is delayed, switch to Manual mode in the Control Room.
