Stream settings control how your video is processed and delivered during broadcasts. These settings include resolution, frame rate, server region, input assignment, audio configuration, idle images, automation timing, highlight generation, and recording storage.

You configure these settings when creating a stream or by editing an existing stream. Some settings can be changed while a stream is live, while others require the stream to be stopped first.

From the Matches section, expand the match, click the three-dot action menu next to the stream, and select Configure. Alternatively, from the Stream Monitoring page, click the three-dot menu in the top right and select Stream Settings. Note that Stream Settings cannot be accessed from Match Center.

Some settings can be modified while your stream is actively running. These include adding or removing destinations, changing the overlay assignment, and adjusting audio settings such as mix, mute, and volume.

Other settings require the stream to be stopped before they can be modified: frame rate, resolution, region, and input assignment. If you need to change any of these, you must stop the stream, make the changes, then restart it.

The Stream Template option lets you select a template created in Competition Settings to auto-fill all settings; this is optional. The Stream Name field lets you give your stream a descriptive name (e.g., "Main Camera", "Field View"). The Stream Input option lets you select from inputs created in the Streaming tab — note that a stream cannot start without an input assigned. The Stream Size setting lets you choose your output resolution, either 1080p or 720p.

Under Destinations, you can select up to 3 destinations (created in the Streaming tab) where this stream will be sent. The Overlay option lets you assign an overlay to this stream, if one already exists for the match. The Idle Image option lets you upload an image to display when the stream is idle, before or after the match. The Frames Per Second setting lets you set the FPS for the stream output, and Video Bitrate lets you set the bitrate — a higher bitrate means better quality but requires more bandwidth. Finally, the Region option lets you select the server region closest to your location for best performance.

The Input Stream Volume setting lets you pre-configure the audio level for incoming video. The Mix Input Audio Channels toggle, when switched on, mixes the left and right audio channels together. The Mute Input Audio Channels option lets you mute the left or right audio channel if needed.

You can automate your stream's start and stop times using the following options:

​

• Stream Start: set the stream to start a number of minutes before the scheduled match time (e.g., 5 or 10 minutes before).

​

• Go Live: set destinations to start sending a number of minutes before match time.

​

• Stream Stop: set the stream to automatically stop a number of minutes after the match ends.

​

Generate Highlights must be toggled on if you want highlights created from match events — if this is off, no highlights will be generated. Auto-Publish Highlights, when toggled on, automatically publishes highlights to connected social media accounts. Store Match Recording, when toggled on, archives a full recording of the stream; this is automatically enabled if Generate Highlights is on. Start Overlay as Hidden, when toggled on, prevents the overlay from appearing automatically when the stream starts, meaning you'll need to manually show graphics from the Control Room.

After configuring your stream settings, click Create (for new streams) or Save (for existing streams) to apply your changes.
